Storyline

Homer returns from a nuclear power convention a day late, eschewing alcohol and pork and with his own prayer mat. Lisa is convinced that he has been brain-washed by Muslims and that he is about to blow up the power plant so she enlists the aid of bipolar FBI agent Annie Crawford. A suspicious Lisa follows her father to work, to find that he has a perfectly rational - if bizarre - explanation for his recent actions. Written by don @ minifie-1

Goofs

The Simpson Family is shown waiting for Homer to arrive via airplane at the airport, and is doing so at the gate. However, following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in America, no one is allowed to go past security in an airport without actually carrying a ticket. Therefore they should not have been allowed to wait at/near the actual gate. See more »

Great Start to the 25th Season that is a Funny and Clever Parody,
22 April 2014 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Homerland is a brilliant Simpsons episode with a very well written and well developed storyline with a tone of very funny scenes.I have never seen a single episode of the series Homeland, but I am aware of the shows storyline and thought the story to this episode was a funny and clever way to parody the show, and the unusual direction on this episode is obviously copying the show as well, and it's made the episode a very unique Simpsons episode.Homerland is a great start to the Simpsons twenty fifth season and fans of the show will definitely enjoy and laugh.

Lisa becomes suspicious of Homer when he returns home after a convention a completely changed man,no longer wanting to eat his favourite foods and drink beer,so she decides to investigate.
