Kevin Connolly may be familiar as Ryan Malloy in the 1990s sitcom "Unhappily Ever After," but he's best known for his role as Eric Murphy on HBO's "Entourage." He garnered a Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of "E," a guy who will go to great lengths to keep best friend Vince on the right track. It was unlikely that "E" would become as a director. Mechanic 2: Resurrection First Look at Jason Statham and Jessica Alba

23 April 2016 11:27 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

You can firmly place this one in the stack of 'sequels we didn't know we were getting this year'. Yes, Jason Statham is returning as Arthur Bishop in Mechanic: Resurrection. It is a follow-up to the 2011 remake The Mechanic. Today, Summit Entertainment has released a first look photo at the sequel's leading man and his new lady, played by Jessica Alba. And it promises to be one cool treat in the very hot dog days of summer.

In Resurrection, Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) returns as the Mechanic when someone from his past forces him back into the business. Bishop has to complete an impossible list of assassinations of the most dangerous men in the world, or he faces being executed himself. The movie was shot on location in Bangkok, Thailand. And it is directed by Dennis Gansel, best known for the recent thriller The Wave.
