Another winning featurette from director David Gregory talks with Jess Franco about the making of A VIRGIN AMONG THE LIVING DEAD. Franco openly admits that he hates that title and he once again provides a terrific interview. The one thing you can always count on from Franco is him to speak his mind and he says some great stuff here. He comments on the title that he hates but he also talks about the various versions of this film out there and why he hates it so much. He talks about preferring just one version of his films to be out there but of course this one has at least half a dozen versions. Franco also talks about the production, the use of non-actors and what it was like shooting in Portugal. Again, if you're a fan of Franco then you certainly won't be letdown by this interview as the director is as charming and as open as he always is. I do wish that the Soledad Miranda connection to the film had been discussed but perhaps the director just didn't want to upset Franco.
