After the events of the previous episode Carrie is in hospital with a bullet hole in her arm and Brody is being forced to undergo cold turkey at a facility in Virginia. Having put an operation at risk it looks as if Carrie could be in yet more trouble but luckily for her Saul needs her. He wants Brody to work for him again but Brody has given up on life. It isn't easy but she manages to get him back on side; ready to take on what is likely to be a one way mission
to go to Tehran and kill the head of Iranian Intelligence! Meanwhile Saul learns that the man who has been seeing his wife is a Mossad agent who was bugging his house and reporting to Senator Lockhart
information he can use to extend his own tenure as acting head of the CIA.
In the first half of this episode I feared we might have returned to the introspection of the early part of this season as both protagonists were in bad places; thankfully this didn't last too long and the main plot could progress. It was interesting to see how Saul plans to use Brody; this promises a fairly gripping season finale. After minimal appearances from Brody it is good to see him again; especially seeing him and Carrie reunited for the first time since the end of season two. There are a few minor flaws though; it seems unlikely that Brody would have been left alone and unrestrained when it is known his medication can cause violent hallucinations and likewise given how many times Carrie has been in trouble for doing her own thing is seems highly unlikely that she'd have had the opportunity to take Brody off base without clearance. Still these didn't spoil this enjoyable episode.
