Nice production values, although the computer graphics can be a little "whiz-bang" now and then.
It's a nice, basic overview of WWII, but it lacks depth. It could have made an interesting series, but it's a very good primer.
It's very seldom that a WWII documentary will even touch on natural resources, in this case specifically oil. I never knew about Hitler's push for oil fields, nor did I know about the synthetic fuels the Germans developed. So there's something in here for a casual WWII buff like me.
So, points for hitting a lot of the major shifts and battles, but it lacks a bit in explaining the political motivations.
I would strongly urge high school history teachers to show this documentary to their class when the subject of WWII comes up.
