Storyline

Prisoners are sent down to Earth 97 years after humans had left the planet after a nuclear fall-out. They're sent from a space station where humans now live, but they do not have resources and supplies to live and survive in space station much longer. The 100 are therefore used in order to determine if Earth is habitable once more, the 100 must learn to adapt to their new surroundings quickly but factions begin to emerge amongst the 100 and not everyone is playing ball. Trivia

In the pilot, Murphy scratches a threat to Wells on the dropship. When Wells sees this, he turns to Murphy, who rubs his nose. This would later become a signature move that Murphy does (in 1x12, for example). Richard Harmon improvised this tic; the director wanted him to show that he was holding a knife, that he was dangerous, but it was such a close shot that all he could really do was the nose rub. Goofs

When a spacecraft is re-entering Earth's atmosphere, passengers are not weightless and cannot "float." Astronauts actually experience the highest g-forces of the entire mission during re-entry, before the parachute opens, as the spacecraft decelerates from orbital speeds to about 200 mph in only a few minutes. Clarke: [narrating] I felt the sun on my face. I see trees all around me, scented wildflowers on a breeze. It's so beautiful. In this moment I'm not stranded in space. It's been 97 years since a nuclear apocalypse killed everyone on earth, leaving the planet simmering in radiation. Fortunately there were survivors. Twelve nations had operational space stations at the time of the bombs. There is now only the ark, one station forged from the many. We're told the earth needs another hundred ...

typical CW show
19 March 2014 | by See all my reviews

the CW and so many networks are just trolling out monotonous TV these days. the same premise for all shows. get the pretty teens and barely adults to act childish except for one or two smart characters. arrow, vampire diaries, the originals. I have started to watch b movies simply because they switch it up by having such horrible plots that they are the only things offering up something different. for this show in particular it appears to be nothing but a rip off of lord of the flies with the typical saturated sexuality of most current TV. The reason i have given this show 3 stars instead of two id that i like some of the story. the prisoners being sent to an after earth is something i haven't seen yet and with different direction it could be a great show such as lost and others.
