In May 2009 British Journalist Nick Patton was deported when Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, an American who previously worked as a computer systems administrator in Southern California, called him to deliver the news personally:(quote)

This has been a good question since much of the footage CLEARLY shows.
Dir Callum Macrae held the Tigers (or LTTE) responsible. Here is a quote in reference to the civilians killed.
