Summaries

  • Johnny Worricker is hiding out from his work at MI5 on the tax-exile islands, Turks & Caicos. But an encounter with a CIA agent forces him into the company of some ambiguous American businessmen who claim to be on the islands for a conference on the global financial crisis. When one of them falls in the sea, then it's their financial PR who seems to know more than she's letting on. But will she help Johnny come to an understanding of what these men do and why they're here?

  • A few months after the events of Page Eight (2011) Johnny Worricker is lying low in the Turks & Caicos. He bumps into an American by the name of Curtis Pelissier who insists that he's met Johnny somewhere before. Johnny has no idea who he is but correctly makes him out to be a CIA agent. Pellissier introduces him to three men, all investor-entrepreneurs - who obviously don't think much of Johnny's claim to have been a humble civil servant - and co-owners of firm called Gladstone. With them is the head of their public relations agency, Melanie Fall. After one of the investors is found dead floating in the sea Johnny learns that the Gladstone group is affiliated with British financier Stirling Rogers and that they all may be involved in the very matter that led him to flee Britain in the first place - the rendition and torture of suspected terrorists.

  • Johnny Worricker (Bill Nighy) is hiding out from his work at MI5 on the tax-exile island paradise Turks Caicos. Trouble comes knocking when an encounter with a CIA agent (Christopher Walken) forces him into the company of some dubious American businessmen. Claiming to be on the islands for a conference on the global financial crisis, Worricker soon learns their shady activities extend far beyond the business of luxury hotels. When one of them turns up dead, it's their financial PR (Winona Ryder) who seems to know more than she's letting on. But will she help Worricker come to an understanding of what these men do and why they're here? Worricker tries to persuade a former girlfriend (Helena Bonham Carter) to betray her boss in London in order to gain more information. As evidence linking the men to Prime Minister Alec Beasley (Ralph Fiennes) comes to light, Worricker must act quickly if he is to survive.

  • Worricker is a retired spy living in the Caribbean. He realizes he is in trouble when four "businessmen" show up. They look like mob bosses, but one actually works for the CIA. He gets help from two former MI5 colleagues back in London.
