Cat owners Ryann and Derek are live in partners with cats who mimic the behaviours and relationship of their guardians.

Warning: Spoilers
Ryann: a sweet, intelligent, strong, and beautiful woman who had found herself in a terrible situation.

Ryann's cat, Lita: An adorable and sweet hearted cat who was being abused by the other household cat, Buddy. The abuse was taking such an emotional toll on Lita that she was vomiting all over the house and had even lost control of her bowels and bladder.

Derek: A self centred, controlling, and abusive meat head who encouraged his own cat to attack Ryann's cat because, according to him, physical violence against smaller and weaker female cats is a good sign of masculinity in his own cat. Knowledge of the impact this abuse was having on Lita amused Derek a great deal. He found it funny that Lita was so stressed out and dominated by Buddy she was reduced to stress vomiting, and incontinence.

Derek's cat, Buddy: a perfectly normal cat who behaved in the way his guardian wanted. Buddy copied the behaviour of his guardian by being controlling, generally abusive, and violent.

It was nice to see Ryann and Lita got out of the house and away from Derek and Buddy and moved into their own place. The change in Lita and Ryann was immediately apparent. Ryann seemed much more confident without Derek around, and Lita's health improved immediately once she was no longer being abused.

It's too bad there was not more follow up with Derek and Buddy though. One has to be concerned for the safety of Buddy. A man who finds emotional and physical abuse of those who are weaker to be positive masculine traits is now left with only one potential target; his own cat. It would be a relief to learn that Derek is no longer in charge of Buddy, and hopefully hasn't manipulated anyone else, cat or human, into another abusive relationship.

Three victims of this piece of human garbage is three too many.

I was literally yelling at the tv for Ryan to leave!

Warning: Spoilers
Within the first 2 minutes of this episode I was yelling at the tv for Ryan and her cat to get out of that house and away from Derek. Derek's superficial affect, glib responses, cold eyes and douche-bro attitude gave me serious sociopath vibes. When we found out Ryan and Derek had broken up I cheered for her! She seems like such a lovely person whose empathy led her to get caught up in a narcissist's world, and this was reflected by her poor cat Lita. I really hope Ryan managed to keep her distance from Derek - narcs are so good at drawing people back to them, just so they can feel a sense of control. Ryan and Lita seemed like they were doing great at the end! Well done Ryan!
