A whole episode about some F16s training with flares?
Grumgully8 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It blows my mind none of these people can grasp that those F16s were simply responsible for the lights, it hasn't been the first time flares have been misidentified as UFOs by civilians. Why does their mind immediately go to some absurd idea and not just the simplest explanation? The fact that there's two F16s flying around seems like a very important detail they're basically tossing aside, what terrible journalism. I wonder if Netflix had any real experts recheck this radar data, but likely not.

All the unnatural parts of the Gimbal footage have been debunked as well and this Navy guy's "encounters" clearly sound like sleep paralysis. This Navy guy is also clearly not an expert on any of this and the fact that he considers psychis not real but considers things like psychology and philosophy the only ways to uncover truth, just shows his opinion basically holds zero value.

You cannot trust your senses or even your memories. There's plenty of examples of wrong eyewitness accounts of air crashes where people claimed the plane was already on fire in the sky, because their brains confused the images before and after the crash. Research in the Netherlands showed many people remembering seeing video of the Bijlmer aircrash, while no such video has ever existed. Unfortunately many people don't realize this enough.

Why does this series not focus on the few "UFO" sightings that haven't been explained yet, and then actually try to explain them with hypotheses based in reality? Is this just a series meant to showcase people with mental issues? Why are they only interviewing these 'spiritual' people and not also scientists and physicists?
