- Heavy violence and gore in single play mode. Multiplayer mode still shoes blood and severe violence during "takedowns' in which the character you choose to play as will kill another player when melee from behind, an animation plays that can be seen as brutal.
- Campaign contains severe violence and gore including scenes of terrorism and torture multiplayer is just as violent but without the torture scenes zombies is about the same as the other 2 but there's dismemberment on almost every kill.

- Soaps death is very sad and sudden and in a cutscene Price, Gaz, and Ghost can be seen pouring Soaps ashes into the ocean.
- In the Campaign's "Reactor" Mission, an Enemy Soldier's face can be seen melting off from biological gas while he tries to stop the player from escaping the place they both are in.
