Bitter fog
UnknownDoomer26 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
A police officer arrives in a small town, where all verticals of power are closely mixed with criminal elements. The goal is to understand this complex situation and identify drug distribution channels and currency circulation. The film begins as a seemingly passable detective story, with a slight noir slant, but in the process the thread of the plot is completely lost due to the abundance of people involved and the overall action turns into an indistinct confusion, where a little bit of everything is mixed in, including not particularly appropriate, purely trash elements. Almost the entire picture is somehow drawn out by the shocking and negative hero Abdulov, who in this situation can easily be confused with the main character and whom the law enforcement agencies will never be able to reach, but otherwise the movie is passable. It is noted in the credits that the filming was based on the story "Bitter fog", authored by the screenwriter, but any information on it, including the year of release, could not be found. In the end another remarkable fact - the filming was sponsored by the "Nevelskaya Trawling Fleet Base". Nevel is a small town in the Pskov region.
