A great many improvement!

Warning: Spoilers
This DLC is absolutely way better than security breach was. For one, it's actually scary at times but and contains moments rife with story but not in a boring way! The V. A. N. N. I. Mask mechanic is so creative and M. X. E. S. is the perfect anti-Villan! I also really like Cassie, the protagonist of this game who is sent to save Gregory, the protagonist of the previous game, who has somehow gotten stuck in the ruined pizzaplex. The only issue I have with her is her voice, it's just so annoying teen-girly, although it really isn't a big enough deal for me to care, because of the incredible twist ending that our character was helping the mimic, an evil AI from the book series, to lure you and free it, and the real Gregory stopping the elevator to prevent it from escaping was such an impactful, dreadful moment. It's an incredible game and the fact that it's free shows that the new team, Steel Wool Studios, actually care about the fandom and aren't just using it as a cash cow. Overall, great gameplay, great story and overall my favourite game in the series other than Help Wanted. Exited to see what happens next!

Way better than the base game
Anger24622 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
There is so much about RUIN that I really liked. The antagonists are used well and not have wasted potential like Vanny. It fixes the main issue with Security Breach which is that it isn't scary. RUIN had a lot of good jumpscares and how it gives you a good scare. The atmosphere is good, and I like how the environment is layed out. I like how we get an official Glamrock Bonnie model is a secret room in Bonnie Bowl.

The problems that I have with RUIN is the gameplay. The gameplay is a slight improvement over the base game. But the thing is it gets repetitive after you leave Monty Golf catwalks. Another problem I have with RUIN are the endings. One of the endings felt so unnecessary which is the Fredbear ending. This ending is just a repeat of the Princess Quest ending. The last problem I have is that the animatronics ai is weird.

RUIN is a prefect improvement over the base game even though it has its faults.

Back to great FNaF, but not great horror
ironbrandon1 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The DLC is pretty good, but I wished that the game was harder than it was. Whenever the virtual Bonnie appears you hear a horror sting and all you have to do to reset him is to take off the mask. If there was no sting you would actually have to look around, making it a difficult and interesting mechanic. At least the game's darker and has better environments. I seriously did not expect it to be this much better than the base game. The base game on release day was a three (maybe four) out of ten, but this is immediately so much scarier, fun, and higher quality than the base game. Good job Steelwool, can't wait to see your next project!

The dlc for FNAF: Security Breach
lucasnoelm18 August 2023
This dlc was good. But not great. Just good. I thought this dlc was pretty cool. I do have a few problems with it though. The only 3 animatronics that actually chase you are the mini music men, Freddy, and the mimic. This dlc is pretty long for a dlc which I thought was good. Could definitely be better. I think that the base game security breach was better though. As it was a lot harder. Although the ruin dlc was scarier which I loved as I said before the animatronics can't spot you and chase you. I am quite happy though to be the first review on IMDB. I just felt this dlc was missing something. Like the moondrop and sundrop. I really wish he chased us around in the play structures like in the base game. Eventually we reboot him and turn him into eclipse. Overall this was a good entry in the FNAF series. And I am delighted to be the first review on IMDB.
