- Jason feels a vampire attraction firsthand; and Bill finds that salvation isn't free. Meanwhile, Sookie considers her future with Warlow as a new crisis poses a threat to humans and vampires alike.
- Open after Terry's funeral. Sookie tells Alcide she needs a walk and he offers to accompany her. Sookie's worried about Jason and Alcide assures her he'll be okay. Alcide definitely seems interested in a romantic relationship. They come upon the vampires who have fed from Bill, frolicking in the daylight. Sookie sees Jason and tells Alcide she needs to check things out. It seems that Jason has finally gotten to the point where he wants to have sex with Violet, but she's not yet ready. Jason introduces Sookie to Violet. After she leaves Jason tells Sookie he now knows how she felt with Bill. Tara tells Sookie about the magical blood and says she's doesn't think she can hate Bill.
Sookie pops up to the faerie plane to see Warlow. He's working on a maypole that will help them seal their union that evening. Sookie wants them to wait a beat, saying she thinks they should try dating. This infuriates Warlow who grabs her by the neck violently.
Pam tells Tara she's going to go after Eric. Tara hates the idea but Pam flies up into the sky.
Bill is frustrated by the fact he's no longer god-like. He tells Jessica about sacrificing Sookie to get the blood he needed. Jessica urges him to save Sookie. They bring in Jason and tells him what's going on with Warlow. Bill points out the only way to get to the faerie plane is with help from a faerie. Andy's daughter is only one left in the city.
Bill glamours Takahashi into forgetting everything he's done for Bill and leaves him with a giant bag of cash.
Jason and Violet go to Andy's house and asks Adilyn for her help. Andy isn't interested but Adilyn wants to help Sookie. Andy and Jason get weapons for the trip.
Warlow tells Sookie he needs to "get back to the start" and basically says she's going to be his bride whether or not she likes the idea. Sookie threatens to throw away her light. He ties her up and says that he basically just wants to use her for her blood. He begins to bite her.
Adilyn helps Jason, Andy, Violet and Bill get to the plane. They get up there and Bill begins to fight Warlow. Jason grabs Sookie and leaves the realm with Andy, Violet and Adilyn. They bring Sookie to her house while Andy stands guard. While Violet heals Sookie, Warlow shows up at the house. Violet tries to protect Jason and Warlow knocks them both over. Bill tries staking Warlow but that doesn't work either. Warlow locks Jason, Andy and Adilyn in the basement. Warlow finds Sookie in the bathroom. But just as he's about to bite her Niall partially appears from his realm and grabs Warlow from behind and holds him. This gives Jason enough time to stake Warlow in the heart and kill him. Sookie and Jason pull Niall back into their world. When Warlow dies, every vampire begins to feel something leave them. We see Eric, who was reading outside in Sweden start to catch fire.
SIX MONTHS LATER
Bill has published a book about his experiences with Lilith, Burrell and Hep-V. It sounds as if Hep-V has spread to one-eighth of the world's vampire population. The point of Bill's book is to "establish trust" with humans.
Alcide and Sookie seem to be officially together.
Jason and Violet have been together for six months and she still has not given him any sexual contact, despite him providing her oral sex every single day. All she says is "in due time."
Sookie and Alcide arrive at church. Outside we see Sam and Andy arguing over something that is about to take place inside. Andy says he'll sit with him inside but refuses to show up at a function that night.
Inside the church all of the humans are being tested to see if they are carriers of Hep-V. Reverend Daniels speak to what looks like a joint service of the congregations of the predominantly white and black churches. He talks about roving groups of sick vampires who have been completely wiping out small towns. He stresses the importance of the community sticking together. Sam, who is now the mayor of Bon Temps, takes the podium and says that while Hep-V is deadly only to vampires, humans can be carriers. He says that he and Bill have come up with a plan. That night at Bellefleur's Bar and Grill (own by Arlene) there will be a social event where humans can meet healthy vampires. The goal is to pair non-carrier human with vampires. Sam wants humans to agree to a monogamous relationship with a vampire, letting the vampire feed in exchange for protection from the sick vampires. Some people immediately walk out of the church.
Cut to the social at Arlene's restaurant. Sookie shows up with a reluctant Alcide. Lettie Mae walks up and asks Willa if she'll ask her daughter to give her a few minutes alone. Lettie Mae apologizes for being a bad mother and offers to let Tara feed on her. Tara initially say no, but eventually goes for it.
Jessica stops by Andy's house and he pulls a gun on her. She says she's there to offer them protection. Jessica thinks she can give him and Adilyn piece of mind that they'll be safe.
We see Sookie and Alcide leaving the gathering at Bellefleur's. Bill tells Sookie that she needs a vampire in her life. He offers his protection and she declines. Bill tells her that he's changed and can be trusted again. Alcide smells something and we see a pack of infected vampires walk out of the woods. They head towards the bar as the season ends.
