Storyline

As soon as it becomes clear that self-made billionaire Eric Vaughn, even more slick then Castle, was the murder target, not the society dinner companion who was accidentally served his poisoned dish, Vaughn gets the commissioner to assign him the best close protection: Becket. While she dodges flirtation and bullets at their 'safe' hotel suite, jealous Castle is determined to crack the case to get his girlfriend romantically-safe home. The means used by the killer inspire Castle's daring, perhaps too convenient suspicion. Written by KGF Vissers

Quotes

Captain Victoria Gates: Okay, I spoke with the Commissioner, and he's agreed to provide Vaughn with a protective detail.
Kate Beckett: Uh, great. I actually have a few uniforms that I'd like to recommend for duty.
Captain Victoria Gates: No. Mr. Vaughn has requested you.
Richard Castle: He what now?
Kate Beckett: Sir, I'm a homicide detective, not some bodyguard.
Captain Victoria Gates: Trust me, I know, but this comes directly from the Commissioner.
Richard Castle: Why doesn't Vaughn just hire a private army? He can afford that.
Captain Victoria Gates: I don't know why, Mr. Castle. I just know what my orders are. He wants Detective Beckett, and ...

Same as my vote( Awful)

This episode made absolutely no sense. A billionaire, Erik Vaughn, requires Kate's personal protection after an attempt on his life. This, of course, requires the use of a hotel suite while Beckett is with him. Castle is made into the bumbling idiot the writers have made him for most of this year, which only encourages Beckett to let Vaughn get close to her and kiss her.

The worst thing about this episode is that it occurs after "Still", which showed the closeness of Castle and was the first time Beckett told Castle that she loved him. No writer could make this leap without losing all credibility. which Andrew Marlowe did.
