(Cbr) These days, it’s more surprising when the cast of a geek-centric film or TV project doesn’t appear at Comic-Con International. So, it may have raised some eyebrows when Fox announced five films for its two-hour presentation Friday in Hall H, and not one of them is "Fantastic Four." The proposed line-up includes "Let’s Be Cops," "The Maze Runner," "The Book of Life," "Kingsman: The Secret Service" and "Hitman: Agent 47." However, Screen Rant reports the studio does indeed have plans to bring stars Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, Miles Teller and Toby Kebbell on stage during the presentation. To be specific, Screen Rant posted its report before Fox officially announced the lineup, but the website is sticking with the story, guessing the "Ff" crew will appear toward the end of the panel. The Josh Trank-directed franchise reboot arrives in theaters on June 19, 2015. »

One of Comic-Con's worst-kept secrets was confirmed by Comic-Con International today. Daniel Radcliffe, who never made it to San Diego during his "Harry Potter" years, will finally visit the pop culture fest in conjunction with a panel for the new indie comedy "Horns." That's big news in and of itself, but besides a massive two-hour presentation from 20th Century Fox, Friday is going to be pretty weak on the movie side. Most of the excitement Friday will actually come from the "Game of Thrones" and "Walking Dead" panels that are part of the Hall H mix. That being said, here's a rundown of Comic-Con's Friday offerings. "Horns" and "Everly" When: 3:00-4:00 Pm Where: Hall H Who: Radcliffe, Hayek Lowdown: Radius-twc will bring "Horns" with Radcliffe, Juno Temple, director Alexandre Aja and novelist Joe Hill. In an intriguing surprise, Salma Hayek will also preview the new thriller "Everly." [Incorrectly noted it was an animated film when first published.] 20th »

The Friday schedule for San Diego Comic-Con 2014 has been announced. It’s actually pretty tame as far as Hall H goes, with Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead being the highlight panels of the day. RADiUS-twc will make its Sdcc debut with Horns, in which Daniel Radcliffe will also make his first appearance at Comic-Con. Outside of Hall H, there’s also plenty of TV panels to go around, with The Legend of Korra, Arrow, Archer, Bob’s Burgers, Bates Motel, and a special Marvel TV panel all taking place. Fox has also blocked out two hours in Hall H, during which time it’s expected to preview The Maze Runner, Kingsmen: The Secret Service, Let’s Be Cops, the animated Book of Life, and Hitman: Agent 47. There have also been rumblings that we might get a peek at The Fantastic Four, which would make sense. Hit the jump »

Last night a rumour emerged that 20th Century Fox would be bringing the cast of The Fantastic Four to San Diego for Comic-Con, but the studio has now released details of its Hall H panel for Sdcc on Friday, July 25th and Marvel’s First Family are nowhere to be seen:
20th Century Fox Comic-Con Presentation
4:20Pm – 6:20Pm in Hall H
Let’S Be Cops
Release: August 13, 2014
It’s the ultimate buddy cop movie except for one thing: they’re not cops. When two struggling pals dress as police officers for a costume party, they become neighborhood sensations. But when these newly-minted “heroes” get tangled in a real life web of mobsters and dirty detectives, they must put their fake badges on the line.

When the full Thursday schedule for Comic-Con 2014 was announced today, several studios such as Paramount and DreamWorks Animation did not reveal which movies they are presenting in San Diego. 20th Century Fox is trying a more direct approach, announcing that they will present Let's Be Cops, The Maze Runner, The Book of Life, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Hitman: Agent 47 during their Hall H panel on Friday, July 25, although the studio's highly-anticipated superhero reboot The Fantastic Four was not included.
The superhero reboot was rumored earlier today to be a part of 20th Century Fox's panel. Of course, it's still possible that cast members Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm - The Human Torch), Miles Teller (Reed Richards - Mr. Fantastic), Kate Mara (Sue Storm - The Invisible Woman), Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm - The Thing) and Toby Kebbell (Victor von Doom - Doctor Doom) may surprise the Hall H crowd by showing up unscheduled, »

Following the first trailer's debut last month, four new photos debuted in the latest issue of Empire Magazine from Kingsman: The Secret Service. Adapted from Mark Millar's comic book, Colin Firth stars as Uncle Jack, a highly-trained Kingsman knight who decides to take his nephew Gary (Taron Egerton), a street punk with no ambition, under his wing and show him the ropes of his secretive trade. These photos include new looks at Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Samuel L. Jackson as Valentine and Sofia Boutella as Gazelle. Take alook at the latest images from director Matthew Vaughn's upcoming adaptation, arriving in theaters October 24.

Based upon the acclaimed comic book and directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kick Ass, X-Men First Class), Kingsman: The Secret Service tells the story of a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius. Matthew Vaughn’s big screen adaptation of Mark Millar (Kick-Ass) and Dave Gibbons’ (Watchmen) The Secret Service has so far been received very well by those who have seen footage at a number of events, and we now have some brand new stills from the movie. It’s hard to tell how much the story has changed in its transition from page to screen, but there do appear to be a few notable character alterations or additions. Regardless, the story – Colin Firth’s Bond-like agent teaches his rough around the edges nephew (Taron Egerton) to »

Loosely adapted from Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons’ espionage comic-book, Kingsman: The Secret Service sees Matthew Vaughn finally doing what he so nearly did back in the mid-noughties and making a spy flick. “I had a lot of meetings on Casino Royale,” he reveals of the Bond that got away, exclusively in the new issue of Empire (out Thursday, June 25). “So much so that the head of MGM offered me it. I had a 24-hour period where I thought I was directing Casino Royale.” The whole experience was, he understates, “a bit of a downer”.Any lingering disappointment at being 00-sixed – it was Martin Campbell, of course, who ultimately landed the gig – has been more than salved by an action-thriller that teams up Colin Firth and newcomer Taron Egerton as a kind of Professor Higgins and Eliza Doolittle of fighting, shooting and wearing very smart suits. Firth’s character, Harry Hart, »

President Barack Obama was video taped working out at a Polish hotel on Tuesday in between diplomacy meetings.
Obama Secretly Recorded Working Out
The video and accompanying photos were posted on Facebook, supposedly by a fellow guest at the Warsaw Marriott, and were quickly picked up by local tabloids. In the video, President Obama is seen lifting weights and doing cardio, and while the reaction has ranged from laughs to workout critique, some saw the leaked footage as a huge security breach by the Secret Service.

With the publicity train for Kingsman: The Secret Service finally making a move and providing us with a trailer, we’ve been shown what we can expect. After my initial viewing, I thought would be a good idea to finally get to my review of the source material, and give some thoughts on how it will be transformed into a movie. The Secret Service: Kingsman is a graphic novel collecting six-issues of the comic book together, which gives the origins of the character, exactly what we can expect from the film. With a James Bond style story with just a hint of Avengers extravagance, it will be interesting to see just what will be translated onto the big screen.
