Pretty Little Liars season 5 episode 5 review: Miss Me X 100

9 July 2014 7:29 AM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Pretty Little Liars reaches its hundredth episode, but has it lost the plot along the way? Here's Caroline's review...

Review

This review contains spoilers.

5.5 Miss Me X 100

When a show reaches 100 episodes, it’s hard not to get nostalgic and look back at the episodes that led here, the state of characters and relationships now rather than five seasons ago and where, potentially, the series can go from here. The hundredth episode of Pretty Little Liars makes a lot of that hard to do, basically because we know there are still 70-odd episodes to come, but also because it’s meandered so much that it’s almost impossible to recognise what it is anymore.

Is it about the ubiquitous monsters under the beds of young women, as Spencer and Alison mused last week, or about the rise of cyber bullying in American high schools? Is it a camp soap opera »

Pretty Little Liars Review: “Miss Me X 100″ (Season 5, Episode 5)

8 July 2014 10:20 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Pretty Little Liars celebrates its 100th episode by welcoming back every character still living. Ok, maybe it wasn’t that extreme, but in honor of the show’s milestone, Pll brought back a number of familiar faces. Travis (Luke Kleintank) and Jenna (Tammin Sursok) made their way back to Rosewood just in time for Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) first day back at school, along with Toby (Keegan Allen) who has been absent from most of this season, and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), who showed up fashionably late.

The reunion between Hannah (Ashley Benson) and Caleb didn’t go exactly like I pictured it in my head when the news that Ravenswood was cancelled came out. Although it’s only natural that running into your ex-boyfriend while in the midst of a date would be a little uncomfortable, what probably made things worse is that I’m not sure that Hannah and Caleb officially even broke up. »

Tyler Blackburn was busy last season starring on his own show that was a em>Pretty Little Liars spin off, Ravenswood. Sadly it didn’t take off and now Caleb is returning for at least the 100th episode of Pretty Little Liars. TV Line caught up with Tyler to get the dirt on his return and how he has changed since he was in Ravenwood, which he says changed Caleb for the worse. Here are a few highlights on what he had to say.

“His time in Ravenswood has messed with him greatly, He’s questioning his sanity, what life is, what’s real and what’s not…..He’s angry, he’s confused, he’s sad, he’s mad — all these things. However, Ali’s transition back to life in Rosewood has been anything but smooth. Aria accidentally killed Shana, someone murdered Mrs. D, and we still have no idea who’s in Alison’s grave. So with a number of mysteries left to solve, »

MTV's 'Scream' pilot will stalk a new generation of teens

(Cbr) Ghostface’s big-screen rampage appears to be at an end, given the disappointing box-office returns on 2011′s "Scream 4". But the murder king of movie-trivia mayhem will return on the small screen, courtesy of MTV’s developing "Scream" TV series. TV Line has a breakdown of characters that will appear on the network’s upcoming one-hour drama pilot. They include: Harper Duval, a 16-year-old introvert and intellectual who is suddenly part of the popular crowd, despite her misgivings. She has drifted apart from her longtime best friend, a girl named … Audrey Jesen, who is “the bicurious daughter of a Lutheran pastor.” She’s an “artsy-loner” and is described as “more arresting-looking than pretty.” She dreams of one day becoming a filmmaker; hopefully she’ll have an easier time of it than Randy Meeks from Scream stories of yore. Scream TV Series - Plot and Character Details

3 April 2014 11:30 AM, PDT | GeekTyrant | See recent GeekTyrant news »

MTV has been developing a TV series based on the Scream franchise, and the network has started the casting process. Thanks to TV Line, we have plot information and character details on four of the series regulars.

The pilot episode was written by Jill Blotevogel (Ravenswood, Harper’s Island, Eureka). The reports also says that the series "kicks off with a YouTube video going viral, which will have adverse repercussions for teenager Audrey and seemingly serve as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to [her] town’s troubled past.”

There's still no word on who will be directing the pilot, but I know the network has been working hard trying to get Wes Craven on board.

Casting has begun on MTV's series adaptation of the Wes Craven horror franchise "Scream," and today new details about it have emerged via a leaked casting call.

Jill E. Blotevogel ("Ravenswood," "Harper's Island") penned the pilot in which a viral Youtube video triggers a murder that brings a town's troubled past to the surface. There are four main characters:

Harper Duval

A 16-year-old beauty who is in with the popular crowd, though is a bit too introverted and smart to truly be one of them. She regrets drifting away from former best friend Audrey.

Audrey Jesen

Harper's former friend, daughter of a Lutheran pastor, she's an artsy loner who is bi-curious and dreams of being a filmmaker.

Noah Foster

Audrey's closest friend, a tech genius with an encyclopedic knowledge of movies, TV, books and apps. He's the show's comic relief.

New Character Details For MTV’s Scream Series

3 April 2014 9:08 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Over the last few years we’ve seen a resurgence of horror and serial killer dramas make their way to our television sets and give us nightmares on a weekly basis. Dexter opened the door for serial killers, which has led to shows like The Following, Bates Motel, and Hannibal. We’ve also seen shows like The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Supernatural, Sleepy Hollow, and now the upcoming David Duchovny-starring Aquarius fall into the horror genre, each with varying degrees of success. In the near future, MTV will be taking a stab (pun intended) at the horror game by bringing the popular Scream series to the small screen.

That’s right, Ghostface and the unlucky town of Woodsboro are headed to TV. It’s been about a year since MTV greenlit the pilot and things have been pretty quiet ever since. Thanks to TVLine though, we now have »
