Amazing update, but kind of glitchy
27 September 2017 | by See all my reviews

This game is great for the most part and as 2Ks first WWE game, I think they did amazing. With a great roster, great game modes, and more additions to the creation suite, it's hard to deny that this is a great start for WWE 2K games. The roster in this game is great. Not only with the current roster of the time, but with all the great WWE legends, which makes this game have one of the best rosters of any WWE game in a while. As a big fan of the Attitude Era mode in WWE '13, this games 30 Years Of WrestleMania mode is amazing. Not only is it a great idea, but it's amazingly fun to play through, as well as nostalgic. This game also features a few extra game modes, like defeat/keep the streak. While the idea of that seems good, it's sort of trivial and no where near on the level of the 30 Years Of WrestleMania. The Create An Arena has gotten a lot better as well. However, it also got worse a little at the same time. There are a lot more stages to use, so that means the player has much more options to create the arena of their dreams, which is a very welcome addition. However, what got worse was the logo resizing. On almost every place where you can add a logo, it will never get as big as you want it too. So if you were to be making a Smackdown arena and trying to make the logo fit the ring just right, it'll always stop getting bigger when you're not even 25% done with resizing it, so you're arena always looks silly due to how small the logos are. This glitch is extremely annoying and the fact that this wasn't fixed before releasing this game is pretty maddening. But other than that, I'm very impressed with this game overall and it's still, all around, an amazing update, albeit kinda glitchy. I'm positive that this will be enjoyed by many who haven't played it yet, as the gameplay and the 30 Years Of WrestleMania mode are great. Even the creation suite is great, even if it is glitchy. This game is great and it is a start to a very interesting future of WWE games (Remember 2K15?). But now they're back in full gear with the great 2K17, and with an awesome game like this and 2K17, I know they are capable of making some epic games.
