Wow. First Caleb, now Sal. The Big Mouth universe is knocking it out of the park with its neurodivergent representation. As an autistic person who sometimes goes nonverbal, they perfectly captured the frustration of not being able to communicate what you want- when you have the words in your mind but they just won't come out. The cherry on top was Alice's reaction to the whole thing as a disabled person- I've felt the exact same way when working with autistic children, especially autistic children with neurotypical parents- you want to raise their self-esteem but also not put unrealistic expectations on them. Overall you just want life to be easier for them than it was for you. 10/10. Absolute perfection.
