Maad Dad will certainly make you a mad movie-goer because although the music is clam, the story is so neurotic with such mind-boggling elements related to it, I am disappointed by Lal, whose last venture, Scene Onnu Nammude Veedu was also a gimmick.
With a rather normal delusional problems, Lal he tries to cope up with his life as his daughter comes from abroad to get married and bring colors to his life. But, as things turn out, the problems with Lal is not trivial. The movie is rest of his story with plausible acting by Nazriya. Lal, Meghna Raj & Padmapriya make it look ugly with their characters so vaguely defined.
The story is not that great, and the screenplay just adds to the stupidity. Music is fine, but the lyrics are idiotic. Dialogs are the greatest drawback of this film.
BOTTOM LINE: Didn't enjoy a bit. I am upset I lost the DVD's cost. This movie is for people who watch dramas that make no sense. Recent movie that was typical & lie in the similar line is Lisammuyude Veedu.
