Warning: Spoilers
Good short story telling in a 90 minutes feature length documentary movie, all crammed together in this little box called ''the golden state killer''.

Deangelos deeds of indespicable crimes are actually a humongous monster done when studying the volume of crimes and the extreme length of his crime spree, and within the hands of the nerdiest of nerdy documentary filmakers this mans reigns would easily fill up 12 episodes of true crime TLC tv of nervewrecking rapes and crime stories inflicted by this x-cop.

So when shrinking the size of crime portfolio into a 90 minutes tv -cavalcade it has its lacks and missing pieces, never the less a well made product and worth watching thinks the grumpy old man.

Smart and Concise

It's well done as with all Evil Among Us entries, it's smart, entertaining and really well presented. Great historical news clips, intriguing first hand witnesses and set at a pace that holds your attention Entertaining and informative Pretty much everything I look for in true crime productios I look forward to future Tubi original "Evil Among Us" features on classic serial offender cases. With that said and as good as it is , it's Tristen Engels that really shines. Thoughtful, well informed and with a natural likeability she is a stand out contributor. I look forward to her in every release of Evil Among Us, she has great insight into the twisted criminal mind.

not worth the time

The idea that a bunch of blue-haired podcasters reading someone else's script would lend some credence to the story of atrocious doings, as if the story didn't have enough credibility in and of itself, is insulting and demeaning to the memories of those to whom these things were perpetrated upon.

Add to that the silky deep voiced narrator who can't find enough work narrating the exciting trailers of third rate thrillers and the "gotcha" soundtrack and you've got a substandard slice of tripe pre-flavored for an audience of bon-bon double wides.

Perhaps it would have been more palatable had they stuck to actual interviews with actual participants. It's obvious that some of these script readers were chosen for the crack in their voice so that we should experience the palp of the events of which they had no part of.

Edited down to half the runtime with all the fake crap removed might have given some integrity to a worthy story. As it is, not worth the time.

Warning: Spoilers
Joseph James DeAngelo is the man who has been charged with 13 murders, 51 rapes and 120 burglaries over 12 years while he worked as a cop, often investigating the crimes that he had caused. He was also known as the Visalia Ransacker from 1974 to 1976, the East Area Rapist from 1976 to 1979 and the Original Night Stalker.

He also sent letters and made phone calls to past victims and the police after.

For a long time, people thought that each of those killers were different people. They were all the same man.

If you watch as much true crime as gets watched in this house, you already know this story. But that's how it is - I may have seen the same story on other networks, 48 Hours, 20/20, Dateline and more. I still watched this and despite everyone's complaints about the podcasters in it, it's not bad.

You just might know all of it. Every horrible detail.
