I thought this would be really interesting but it is so cliche and heavy handed, its really disappointing. Its almost like watching an advertisement at times, the script is so predictable. Too bad. It's the strong New Zealand woman police woman where she's taking over for the retiring and wise elderly policeman and now has to deal with all the sexist and "new worker" scenes which are highly predictable. Perhaps the most predictable - she's now in a lesbian couple and 'wants to protect' her wife and daughter.
No thanks! I also didn't like the way the creators tried to trick the audience with the scene just before revealing her wife. That kind of stuff is belittling and annoying and it turns me off to watching any further.
Beautiful scenery but the over used imagery/symbolism and heavy handed predictable presentation of events overwhelms - it is not a serious show, it is pieced together to create a lesbian feminist drama that wags a finger at the majority straight audience.
