In a little dessert town, some out-of-luck, downtrodden and almost hopeless people find that life brings them together at a dilapidated "three-star" motel named Little Paradise or Le Pet-it :D. Their lives turn topsy turvy as they jockey and scheme with and against each other for a way up and out.
Featuring an old man (war vet), a very pretty illegal immigrant maid, a not-all-there hit-man, a scrappy hotel clerk, a bumbling, unlikable hotel manager, two want-to-be drug dealers plus some other interesting characters, and pretty much nothing else but the Little Paradise motel, the creators have put together a film (available on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon Instant) that moves fairly well.
While it is no Academy Award winner, it is an okay low-grade / low budget movie with some amusing moments.
If you can pardon a couple of pretty contrived scenes, this one is good for a lazy Sunday afternoon. 5/10
