Not as good as the first season but good in it's own right

TDROI turned out to be a decent series/season of the Total Drama franchise. Comprised of a entire new cast of contestants with cameos from previous seasons contestants, Chris McLean and Chef continue their reign of hosting as the show returns to the original setting of the show, Camp Wawanakwa. Similar challenges and character relationships develop like previous seasons of the show such as Total Drama Island and Total Drama World Tour, however this season remains unique.

The inclusion of a more diverse cast this season is pleasant to see and the personalities are all pretty new and original for each character. While I did miss the old cast, the characters in this season were hit or miss. But when they did hit they were good, I just wish the challenges retained the quality of previous seasons, but they did not. Even Chris and Chef started to become a bit much, but the new characters kept the season interesting.

Overall I would say it was a decent season for having a new cast, but not as good as the original, TDI. But besides fans of the show, I don't think I would recommend this season unless you want to re-watch it from when it first came out or just want a silly show to watch when you're bored.

Better than island

Warning: Spoilers
The show is generally good and funny. The multiple personality disorder Mike has, nice touch. Scout, the smartest idiot. B, he just left too the kind of girl that I love. I love that the characters resemble their formers in one way or another but still being original. One inconvenient: it's waaaaaay too short

TDRI - Has some flaws, but is very enjoyable

TDROTI or Revenge of the Island was a average season, while better than later seasons (All-Stars, Pahkitew Island, DramaRama), it does not fare well in comparison to the juggernauts of previous editions (notably Series 1 and 3). Mike in particular was a real miss. It is fantastic to make a character based on someone who is neuro divergent, however the characterisation of Mike was mishandled, firstly his label incorrectly labels the disorder as MPD rather than the new term DID, which changed in 1999. Secondly, the exaggeration of the switches were downright distasteful.
