Devilish dilemma's
31 August 2013 | by (Rotterdam, Holland) – See all my reviews

I really like the dilemma's introduced in this episode. Calvin wants to redeem himself by curing his brother who is severely handicapped because of his fault. Lucy lowers herself to torture to get her daughter back, and is tempted to trade in Jake for Amelia. Until the very last moment it is not clear whether she would or wouldn't do that. So, both are being tempted to do bad things for good reasons.

And then Guillermo does it the other way around: he does a good thing to convince himself that it is OK to do bad things: he rescues a surgeon who strayed off in the desert because he wanted to die, because he feels guilty of the death of a child he operated upon and died. Guillermo redeems him and rescues him by bringing him back to his family. And by doing that, he gets convinced that it is okay to make collateral damage for the greater good.
