Syfy continued its Sharknado franchise last night with Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, bringing back longtime franchise stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. A new report reveals Ian Ziering not only made a lot more than co-star Tara Reid, but he also earned quite a bit more than Gal Gadot received for Wonder Woman. Ian Ziering reportedly took home a cool $500,000, with Tara Reid earning just a quarter of that salary. Ian Ziering's pay is also nearly twice as much as Gal Gadot's paycheck for headlining the second highest grossing domestic movie of the year, Wonder Woman.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Ian Ziering's $500,000 salary represents roughly 17% of the sequel's $3 million salary, while the $300,000 earned by Gal Gadot on Wonder Woman represents just 0.2% of the movie's $149 million salary. We reported in June that the actress signed a three-picture deal, which she is now re-negotiating to get a much »

Like both of its namesake nouns, the Sharknado franchise is indiscriminate in its appetites, devouring cameos and guest stars with undisguised, buzz-craving hunger. These range from the relatively benign—hey there, Steve Guttenberg—to the absolutely disastrous (like when the franchise had to race to chop Jared Fogle out of the third movie, shortly after he was arrested on child pornography charges). Today, The Hollywood Reporter has an in-depth look at the show’s ravenous casting process, including the revelation that franchise star Tara Reid gets paid roughly a quarter of what Ian Ziering gets, and the intricacies of producers’ failed attempt to get Donald Trump on board to play the series’ fictional president.
The Reid pay disparity apparently dates back to the first movie, when the film’s creative team had to throw a bunch of money at Ziering to sign on to star. (It was a more innocent »

Since its first installment premiered on July 11, 2013, the Sharknado franchise has become practically invaluable to Syfy — but while the budget for each film has gotten bigger, the wage gap between female lead Tara Reid and her male costar Ian Ziering has reportedly remained the same.
This week’s issue of The Hollywood Reporter features an inside look at the surprise hit franchise in which it’s claimed that Reid — who starred in all four installments as well as the upcoming fifth, Sharknado 5: Global Swarming — makes about a quarter of what Ziering earns on each installment.
For Sharknado 5, THR reports that the budget was $3 million, »

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sarah Palin was the producers’ first choice to play the leader of the free world, but those negotiations fell through. That’s when “Sharknado” star Ian Ziering proposed getting the Donald to play the part after he formed a relationship with Trump while filming “Celebrity Apprentice.”
The future president said yes, and was “thrilled to be asked.” »

Tara Reid has had her fair share of head-turning red carpet moments, but her latest look might just top them all.
The 41-year-old American Pie alum turned heads on Thursday, showing off her slim figure on the red carpet at the Art with a Cause event in Los Angeles in a transparent, chainmail mini dress.
Her bra nowhere to be found, Reid instead wore tan pasties and a matching thong to cover up. She was all smiles in the sleeveless gown — which she accessorized with a few bracelets and a silver watch.

Tara Reid definitely turned a few heads when she hit the red carpet on Thursday night.
The Sharknado star appeared to be braless in a $50 Association see-through chainmail mini-dress by Australian designer Showpo that she paired with sky-high nude stilettos. The style was so see-through that her underwear was visible, but Reid seemed quite confident in the risque ensemble.
