It's Slow Paced But Effective At Many Points
30 April 2015 | by (Pakistan) – See all my reviews

the sleepwalker 2014 is a film about 2 sisters Kaia & Christine one is married & one is engaged but what happens when these two live in the same house the tension between both of them rises as these sisters have deep secrets.

i will not reveal the story angle of what is wrong with Christine i won't spoil it you will have to see it yourself so i suggest don't look for reviews that are giving spoilers.

people and critics are pointing out flaws and mistakes and complaining about the slow pace but hey lets be honest at least this film is not trying hard to be something it's not it is totally worth watching now since Roger Ebert died every critic seems to rip movies apart without understanding the subject.

its got a lot of heavy never ending dialog here, creepy music that plays a vital role more then the narrative itself to keep the viewer hooked on for long but get a load of this in the middle just when you think it is getting boring the characters have almost no chemistry exactly that moment you get the usual expected feeling about the project that it is about to end on a low note but it does not believe me it is very unpredictable.

it plays the suspense card well but the thing is it mixes up a lot of genres in it like supernatural ghost stuff etc as for the sex part there is hardly any here its just some amount of nudity & kissing scenes like the couple gets intimate for a while without exposing much is nicely shot but once particular scene i found funny was when Christine starts masturbating in Kaia's bedroom what a hilarious situation it was.

but the point is no matter what anyone thinks about this co production between America & Norway you can't simply ignore the performances of each actor involved oh yeah Gitte Witt & Steppanie Elissa did rock solid acting here i liked all of them including the guys they kept me glued to my seat they are damn talented & should be in more movies i enjoyed every bit of it.

i have said it before i am going to say it again yes it is slow paced but effective & gritty at the same time it should be liked for what it is sleepwalker is a serious film but comes with many comic moments.

Overall The Sleepwalker 2014 is a surprise of a film my rating is 5/10:Recommended
