Saturday Night Live Host: Kevin Hart
3 March 2013 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Kevin Hart has started in some films and lately he seems to become more known as those movies make money which is why he has come to host the show for the first time. Usually opening monologues turn into a musical performance or they are not funny but Hart's monologue was very surprising to me as I found it both funny and consistent throughout the segment. Hart in the end was a fine host with a good start that seemed to lessen as the show went on. The sketches were largely forgettable with none really making much of an impression even if most of them were funny they just were not special. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were the musical guest of the episode and they were fine for their genre of music which personally is not one of my favourites. The best sketch of the episode was the Barnes & Nobles one because I found Bobby and Cecily very funny. The worst sketch of the episode for me was Z-Shirt which then was continued which made no sense. Overall a good episode hosted well by funny man Kevin Hart.

EPISODE GRADE: B- (MVP: Kevin Hart)
