Trivia

Warren Goldstein, as Mark Parker, recorded singing 8 songs to be used in the film which he performed nightly in the film at the "007" piano bar of the Casa Blanca Hotel, which were used cleverly in several scenes. Usage rights would not allow the use of the actual James Bond song titles so Warren sang others characteristic of the forgotten 60's era, such as, "Secret Agent Man", "What's New Pussy Cat", "To Sir with Love" and more, all performed as a comedy spoof employing overly accentuated slow dramatic clichéd piano bar singer vocalizations, unlike the arrangements and performances in the original recordings of those tunes. Warren Dan Goldstein composed an original song with a different melody and chord structure, obviously reminiscent in title only of the James Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever", entitled, "Neil Diamond is Forever", which had not yet been recorded at the first Miami recording session or before the production closed down. Warren had also written the film's theme song which also was never recorded, but which use would have been at the discretion of director Jeremiah Chechik's approval. Warren was responsible in creating the persona of Mark Parker's vocals and song sty-lings which he drew upon from his real life experiences listening to hundreds of piano bar vocalists over the prior 20 years of his music career prior to acting. Mark Parker's vocal styling was an inventive affected cross between the voice of Anthony Newly and Elvis Presley and decidedly intentionally not to impersonate Bill Murray's classic brilliant routine poking fun at a clichéd lounge singer vocalization of "Star Wars". The piano song arrangements by Warren were all purposefully performed with ostentatious over augmented piano bar jazz chords and tasteless ad-lib musical runs, often disguising the very characteristic accompaniment which the songs originally had by the original artists, and had been done in this manner for a rather unique and successful comedy effect but carefully not to make fun of those original respected recording artists themselves.
