Nikolai Nikolaeff plays a supporting role in Daredevil, the Netflix-commissioned series based on the Marvel character created by Drew Goddard.

Charlie Cox (The Theory of Everything, Boardwalk Empire) is the lead, blind lawyer Matt Murdock by day and the crime-fighting superhero Daredevil by night in the Hell.s Kitchen neighbourhood of New York City.

Nikolaeff plays Vladimir, a Russian emigrant who with his brother Anatoly (Gideon Emery) is trying to forge a name for himself in the Us. He filmed his role in New York last year but the full cast has only just been revealed.

Marvel and Netflix are proud to announce six supporting actors coming to Marvel's Daredevil, an all-new 13-episode series premiering on Netflix April 10, including two who will play fan-favorite characters from the Daredevil comic series. From the comics, Rob Morgan (Person of Interest, Believe) will play Turk Barrett (a.k.a. Mauler), a smalltime criminal in Hell's Kitchen, while Matt Gerald (Avatar, Dexter) will play Melvin Potter (a.k.a. Gladiator), a machinist caught between a rock and a hard place.

Siding with Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) are Peter Shinkoda (Falling Skies, Hawaii Five-0) as Nobu, a Japanese businessman with an agenda all his own; Wai Ching Ho (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Blue Bloods) as Madame Gao, a powerful woman running her own trade; and Nikolai Nikolaeff (Camp, Sea Patrol) and Gideon Emery (Grimm, How to Train Your Dragon 2) as Vladimir and Anatoly, two Russian brothers looking to forge »

Daredevil Adds 6 To Cast; Including Matt Gerald As 'Melvin Potter/Gladiator'

Marvel and Netflix's Daredevil has added Rob Morgan, Matt Gerald, Peter Shinkoda, Wai Ching Ho, Nikolai Nikolaeff and Gideon Emery to its cast. Out of that bunch, only two would appear to be playing established Marvel Comics characters: Rob Morgan (Person of Interest) will play small-time Hell's Kitchen criminal Turk Barret (aka Mauler), and Gerald (Avatar) will be taking on the role of Melvin Potter, also known as Gladiator, who starts out as an enemy of Matt Murdock's but later becomes an ally. On the show he'll be "a machinist caught between a rock and a hard place". Netflix’s “Daredevil” series added a handful of names to its cast on Wednesday. Rob Morgan (“Person of Interest”), Matt Gerald (“Avatar”), Peter Shinkoda (“Falling Skies”), Wai Ching Ho (“Law and Order: Special Victims Unit”), Nikolai Nikolaeff (“Camp”) and Gideon Emery (“Grimm”) have joined the upcoming 13-episode Marvel series, starring Charlie Cox as the blind lawyer Matt Murdock by day and the crime-fighting superhero Daredevil by night.
