Storyline

The university requires that the guys promote science careers for women. Sheldon feels that they would be too late talking to college students and that they first try it at the middle school level. Howard proposes that they go to his old middle school since he is an astronaut and their favorite alumni. Raj visits with the girls seeking advice for his first date with Lucy. Bernadette suggests Disneyland which is too crowded for the timid Lucy. The girls get all excited about going to Disneyland themselves rather than helping Raj. They call in sick, head to Disneyland and get made up as Disney princesses. Penny wanted to get drunk, ride the rides and throw up. Bernadette is Cinderella, Penny is Sleeping Beauty, and Amy is Snow White. At the middle school, Sheldon talks about Madame Curie who's radium research killed her, Howard doesn't excite them since he didn't fly the spacecraft, and Leonard obsesses over his parents as the scientists who didn't let him follow his dream of being a ... Trivia

Amy again dresses up in a costume as Snow White after Sheldon said that she didn't believe in wearing costumes in "The Justice League Recombination". In "The Launch Acceleration" she dressed up in a Star Trek medical officer's uniform. See more »

Goofs

In this episode, Sheldon addresses Amy on the cellphone (and she refers to herself) as "Doctor Fowler." However, in other episodes, she is addressed/referred to as "Doctor Farrah Fowler." It is therefore never clear whether Farrah is part of her surname or one of her given names. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Leonard Hofstadter: Look, I know you guys don't want to do this but we have no choice, so you can either bitch and whine, or we can just get it over with.
Howard Wolowitz: I got whine.
Sheldon Cooper: I got the 'b' word.
Leonard Hofstadter: Yeah, well, it's in our contract to serve on a university committee, and frankly this is one I believe in. Okay, here we go. 'Encouraging more women to pursue a career in the sciences.'
Howard Wolowitz: C'mon, if I was any good at convincing women to do stuff, I wouldn't have spent so much of my twenties in the shower.

"The Contractual Obligation Implementation" was another brilliantly hilarious ep of "The Big Bang Theory"
7 March 2013 | by (Baton Rouge, La.) – See all my reviews

In this ep of "The Big Bang Theory": Leonard reluctantly gets Sheldon and Howard to talk to some female middle school students about choosing science and math as career options. Howard uses his celebrity influence (he's an astronaut, remember?) to pick his alma mater. Meanwhile, Raj joins Penny, Amy, and Bernadette for girls night out to talk about where to take Lucy for a date. Disneyland is one of the suggestions but Raj rejects that though that does give the women an idea to play hooky and go themselves. Raj eventually takes Lucy to the library for lunch where they text each other. I'll stop there and just say this was another hilarious ep with some great touching moments concerning Raj and Lucy. So on that note, "The Contractual Obligation Implementation" was another great edition of "The Big Bang Theory".
