Sydney native Luke Bracey debuted on Australian TV series “Home and Away” in 2009, and landed his first film role opposite Leighton Meester in 2011’s romance adventure “Monte Carlo,” followed by “G.I. Surf’S Up

Bracey is on location in New Orleans shooting the bigscreen adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ “The Best of Me”; he then begins filming the remake of “Point Break,” in which he plays Johnny Utah — the role created by Keanu Reeves in the 1991 original — alongside Gerard Butler and Ray Winstone. “I grew up surfing,” Bracey says. “My dad probably put me on a surfboard before I could walk. I watched ‘Point Break’ many times growing up.”

Living In The Moment

Bracey had a setback last year after TV drama pilot “Westside,” in which he was to play the lead,

McG is Still Around & Slated to Direct Dwayne Johnson in 'The Fall Guy'

However, it sounds like the director is coming back to film. While that normally wouldn't be all that thrilling, he'll have the help of action star Dwayne Johnson in the lead, hot on the heels of a spectacular 2013 which includes Snitch, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Pain & Gain and Fast & Furious 6. So what is this project bringing Johnson and the director of Charlie's Angels together? Read on! New 2013 TV Season Breakdown: ABC

The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the third announced earlier today. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on ABC.

The network is changing up some of its serialized dramas - removing random repeats in favor of two "uninterrupted runs" of twelve episodes each (one in the fall, one in the spring) for shows like "Once Upon A Time," "Grey’s Anatomy," "Scandal" and "Revenge". The large gaps between the two half-seasons will be bridged by "limited series" designed around only 12-13 episode seasons.

Several other pilots didn't make the final cut and won't be seen including the high-profile "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" rip-off "Gothica", McG's rip-off of Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo + Juliet" entitled "Westside", the series based on Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain ride, the Annie Potts-led "Murder in Manhattan" about

Where’s the Pilot Pizzazz? Networks Need to Impress
As the upfronts approach, it’s hard to scope out pilot pickup buzz at the major broadcast nets this year because there are few clear heat-seekers.

The big bets of this year’s development crop were made early on in the cycle (last summer and fall) and for the most part have retained their front-runner status: ABC’s “Marvel’s Agents of Shield” with the Whedon clan; CBS’ redo of “Beverly Hills Cop”; NBC’s 22-episode throwdown for the Michael J. Fox domestic laffer; Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher in Fox’s cop comedy “Brooklyn 99″; and the union of David E. Kelley and Robin Williams in CBS’ “Crazy Ones.”

J.J. Abrams has his minimum allotment of two pilots: Fox’s robot-cops vehicle and “Believe” with Alfonso Cuaron at NBC. David Shore is said to be looking promising with ABC drama “Doubt.”

The fuzzy picture for next season’s series pickups

Is Ben McKenzie Leaving 'Southland'?

Is Ben McKenzie Leaving 'Southland'?
"Southland" star Ben McKenzie has scored the lead role in CBS' new legal pilot "The Advocates," but what does that mean for his future on the TNT cop drama?

According to TVLine, McKenzie will play Henry Bird in "The Advocates" pilot. His character is described as a "quietly determined" man who "is freed after being unjustly imprisoned for 16 years." He and a female lawyer will join forces to become "victim advocates," who will often skirt the edges of the law in the interests of representing the legal underdogs of the world.

McKenzie's pilot role is in second position to "Southland," but there's obviously enough interest from "Advocates" production studio Warner Bros. (which also produces "Southland") to raise questions about the TNT show's longevity, since actors with job security rarely audition for other parts. It's also possible that should "Southland" be renewed and "The Advocates" be picked up to series by CBS,
