Storyline

Castle is shaky after watching a DVD which predicts, in flashy amateur horror style, the exact time of death, for no apparent reason and probably by panic-caused cardiac arrest, of the murder victim, screaming in the phone, who received it. Her ex has a solid alibi and couldn't make sense of her panic about 'it'. Tracing the DVD's shipping leads to another copy recipient, killed at home similarly. Their only link is having been jurors on executed country serial killer Nigel Malloy's trial. The team heads for his home town, loved-ones and surviving jurors. Written by KGF Vissers

Goofs

Leopold Malloy speaks of his appeal. Malloy was found not guilty by reason of insanity. He has nothing to appeal. See more »

Quotes

Richard Castle: You don't know what killed her.
M.E. Sidney Perlmutter: I wouldn't say that.
Richard Castle: Do you have a theory?
M.E. Sidney Perlmutter: Not at the present time.
Richard Castle: That means you don't know.
[Perlmutter sighs]
Richard Castle: And the only explanation is that Val faced something so scary it stopped her heart and froze her face in the last expression she had. Terror. Admit it.
M.E. Sidney Perlmutter: All I'll say, Mr. Castle, is that for now cause of death is unknown.
Richard Castle: Unknown. Hear that?
[he pulls out his wallet and fumbles with a piece of paper]
