Storyline

Cohle and Hart continue interviewing family and friends of the victim they found in the farmer's field. They learn that she had moved to a trailer park and found religion. They find the church she attended, now mostly burned out, but they also find something that links the church directly to their current case. Back at the office, they are faced with the prospect of being replaced by a task force. Cohle tells his partner he had a difficult time after his 2 year-old daughter was killed in a car accident. In the present day interviews, it becomes obvious to both Cohle and Hart that the detectives have found something new and are looking to blame someone for something. Written by garykmcd

The character unravel!
3 February 2014 | by (Winnipeg) – See all my reviews

True Detective is one Dark series. Seeing Things episode reveals the darker sides of the characters Hart and Cohle. Hart's stress release activities or swank affairs and pent up rage wrecks havoc with Hart's wife. Hart's wife looks like she may have eyes for Hart's partner Cohle. Revenge is on her mind!(My guess). Cohle is a non-believing in God, pessimist about people whose dark nature could be a result of his young daughter's death. Cohle is a drug addict in order to sleep and function. Cohle is an empty person whose whole life involves police work. Cohle's apartment has no furniture just functioning bare bone necessities, which represents Cohle's empty life. The two detectives work perfectly in solving the case. Cohle's weakness of all work in an analytic/psychological manner creates leads, while Hart's social skills works with inter police politics. The only darker plot twist is the more they find out about the serial killer the darker the series becomes. Add the spooky back drop of rural Louisiana there is a dark evil mix for True Detective.
