Evan Peters on Playing His Most Insane 'Ahs' Character Yet, Working With Emma Roberts & Directing (Exclusive)
Warning: Spoilers ahead! Do not proceed if you haven't watched the season finale of American Horror Story: Cult.

Evan Peters is opening up about his "most difficult" season of American Horror Story yet.

During an exclusive interview with Et on Tuesday, the 30-year-old actor revealed what it was like taking on the lead role of Kai Anderson in Ahs: Cult and how he felt about that shocking season finale.

Over the course of seven seasons, Peters has been cast in a number of villainous roles, like Tate Langdon in Murder House, Jimmy Darling in Freak Show and James March in Hotel. But none have come close to Kai, whom Peters says was probably his favorite character he's portrayed in FX's anthology series thus far.

Things Get Hot And Heavy In First Fifty Shades Freed Trailer

The final chapter begins in this first full-length trailer for Universal’s Fifty Shades Freed, which will be with us on February 9th, 2018. Behind the camera, director James Foley and Niall Leonard – husband to Fifty Shades author E.L. James – are now very much the driving forces behind the studio’s cinematic series, which despite being mauled by critics repeatedly, continues to rake in healthy box office profits.

But all of that will come to an end soon, as Freed will close the book on Christian and Anastasia’s story. Following the events of Fifty Shades Darker, the couple are now married, but all is not perfect, as Ana’s “threatened when her former boss, Jack Hyde, swears revenge for being fired from Sip. Elena also returns to haunt Christian and makes their lives a lot more troublesome.”

As for this first trailer, it’s more of what you’d expect from the franchise.

Review: Wonder Woman

  • Comicmix
Having earned over $800 million, Wonder Woman has proven itself on many levels. In a year that started, more or less, with Hidden Figures, and with a summer that had three hits featuring women (the others being Atomic Blonde and Girls Trip) the female half of the movie going audience is finally receiving their due. Director Patty Jenkins has certainly shattered some records and glass ceilings along the way while Gal Gadot has now proven she can open a movie.

With Wonder Woman out today on Blu-ray from Warner Home Video, we have a chance to look back and enjoy it all over again. While it fits neatly in the larger DC Cinematic Universe thanks to the framing sequence, the movie largely works on its own with a vastly superior tone and vision than its predecessors.

There is sumptuous color representing Themyscira, home to the Amazons. All the scenes there are

Etta Candy Presents A Wonder Woman History Lesson In Latest Blu-Ray Clip

Coming out of Wonder Woman, you’d struggle to find anyone who could reasonably dispute one simple fact: Etta Candy was the unsung hero of Patty Jenkins’ success story.

In a movie teeming with delightful characters – namely Sameer (Said Taghmaoui) and Charlie (Ewen Bremner) – Etta Candy stood head and shoulders above the rest within Wonder Woman‘s supporting cast and here, you’ll see Lucy Davis’ character recount an Amazonian history lesson in order to trumpet the film’s impending Blu-ray release.

Pegged to arrive on September 19th, Wonder Woman‘s home video release comes packing a ton of bonus features, most notably the “Etta’s Mission” epilogue, which allows the Jenkins-directed solo movie to dovetail with the events of Justice League ahead of its own launch in November.

For a full rundown of what to expect next week, here’s a detailed preview of those additional features, ranging from

Scripted Series Snub Seniors, Study Says

Scripted Series Snub Seniors, Study Says
Seniors characters are dramatically underrepresented on popular television, according to a new study from USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

Looking at a sampling of 72 shows — a mix of the most popular series according to Nielsen ratings in the 18-49 demo and with viewers 65 and older — the study, titled “Seniors on the Small Screen: Aging in Popular Television,” found that people ages 60 and older made up only 9.4% of speaking roles, despite making up 19.9% of the U.S. population, according to the U.S. census. Of the 72 shows surveyed, one episode per series, only three came within two percentage points of 19.9%.

Seniors accounted for only 8.2% of series-regular roles on the shows surveyed.

Among senior roles, diversity was scarce. Only 30% of all roles for characters ages 60 and older were female. Thirty-eight of the 72 programs surveyed had no female senior role.

Senior roles also skewed heavily white, with white characters accounting for 72.2% of all such characters, compared

Fall TV Preview: 25 Breakout Stars Poised To Make It Big
Every year, the new fall TV lineup not only features established performers, but new talent on the verge of being truly embraced by the mainstream.

IndieWire has identified 17 of those relatively fresh faces poised to break out from this year’s crop of freshman comedies and dramas. Not everyone on lists like these goes onto blockbuster success, but one of the most exciting things about new shows is discovering emerging talent — and what they’re capable of. In past years, we’ve seen new stars emerge on shows across the spectrum of platforms, and in 2017 we have our theories who might end up being the stand-out performers for this season.

Important note: Because this list is humans-only, we tragically omitted giant teleporting puppy Lockjaw, from “Marvel’s Inhumans.” As soon as we have the time to celebrate all the great CGI characters currently on television, Lockjaw’s a lock.

Geena Davis on Hollywood Sexism and Wanting to Be in ‘Wonder Woman 2’

Geena Davis on Hollywood Sexism and Wanting to Be in ‘Wonder Woman 2’
Oscar winner Geena Davis has spent more than a decade pushing Hollywood to create meatier roles for women.

Through the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, a non-profit research organization, she’s been urging film and television executives to have as many girls as boys in children’s entertainment. The actress thinks the industry is turning a corner, and she believes that hits like “Wonder Woman” are changing things for the better across the media business.

Of course Davis, whose credits include “Thelma & Louise” and “A League of Their Own,” still has a day job. She’s back on screen this weekend in “Marjorie Prime,” as a woman who tries to comfort her ailing mother (Lois Smith) by enlisting a holographic projection of her late husband (Jon Hamm) to keep her company. The film asks big questions about memory and technology, and it’s earning Davis some of the strongest reviews of her career. She

Wonder Woman Blu-Ray Gets Release Date, Will Include Extra Scene

For many, Wonder Woman represented a turning point in the DC Extended Universe. With several divisive films preceding it, director Patty Jenkins, lead actress Gal Gadot and the rest of the talented people on either side of the camera put forth their best effort, effectively crafting a superhero experience for the ages that we hope subsequent entries in the line will equal – or even surpass. That said, it’s certainly not hard to see why it recently passed the $400 million mark at the American box office.

What’s doubly satisfying is living in an era when the gap separating theatrical from home video release is shorter than ever. With that, we’re happy to learn that Wonder Woman will be made available via Digital HD on August 29, with Ultra HD Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD releases set to follow on September 19.

Also of note is that an extra scene will be included,

Katie Holmes to Star in Adaptation of Best-Selling Book ‘The Secret’

Katie Holmes to Star in Adaptation of Best-Selling Book ‘The Secret’
Katie Holmes apparently believes in the power of positive thinking. The former “Dawson’s Creek” star will appear in a feature film adaptation of “The Secret,” the self-help book that postulated that human beings can control the universe with their minds and manifest their desires through the “law of attraction.” Somehow quantum physics also comes into play.

It may sound scientifically dubious, and the book did attract its fair share of criticism, but the controversy only fueled sales. “The Secret” was a publishing phenomenon, selling 30 million copies around the world.

The picture will be directed by Andy Tennant, who is best known for overseeing hit romantic comedies such as “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Hitch.” Bekah Brunstetter, a writer on NBC’s hit drama “This Is Us,” will adapt Rhonda Byrne’s best-seller, with participation from Tennant and his longtime writing partner Rick Parks (“Ever After: A Cinderella Story”).
