Umberto 'Albert' Anastasia is Brooklyn's undisputed prince of organized crime. Albert's other title is 'Lord High Executioner' and they call him that for good reason. Albert is responsible for thousands of murders, because Albert runs 'Murder Incorporated' from out back of a candy store in Brownsville. It's the syndicate button-man's finishing school with alums including Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel, Louis "Lepke" and "Pittsburgh Phil" Strauss... But by 1957 "Murder Inc." has fallen to the Feds and Albert is inviting the displeasure of New York's crime family du jour, the Genovese. Not least for auctioning off full mob membership to any low-life with a spare 50 G's and an Italian sounding name. But how else is the dapper gent to pay for his Park Sheraton Hotel haircuts? Settling into barber chair number four on this crisp October morning, Albert revolves around to face the mirror. With his back to the door, jowls swaddled in a steaming towel, Albert doesn't see the two-man shooter team enter the joint. They are straight out of central casting in sunglasses and black fedoras. The barber sidesteps like a mule as five shots hit the back of the chair. Tangled in toweling, stumbling to his feet Albert grabs at his own reflection as he falls to the marble floor. The guys in the aviators pump another five shots into Albert's chest. Just to be sure... The Park Sheraton Hotel Barber Shop is now a Starbucks.
