Did You Know?

One of the running "in jokes" in this reboot of Hawaii Five-0 is the periodic covert and overt references to the t.v. show Magnum, P.I. (1980). Though not as direct a reference to the latter show as other times, this episode features Larry Manetti, who co-stared in every episode of Magnum P.I.'s eight year run. See more »

Danny 'Danno' Williams: You gonna fork up some cash or what?
Steve McGarrett: What? It was your idea to get the big sideline seats. Now you want me to pay for them?
Kamekona: Yeah, what gives? Why did you have to sit so close to the field?

3.17 Same Old Story **1/2
19 February 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The show is starting to get monotonous as seen by the last 2 episodes.

When a group of executives get together and have war games, invariably someone used a real gun to kill one of their top men.

A lot of people are under investigation here and the killer has done the executive in for a reason that one would not ordinarily think of. Insurance is the motive here in this very diabolical plot.

Danny shows his obsession for football here and Steve actually gets his arm dislocated twice. When Steve McGarrett actually says at the end that he has to see a doctor, we see for the first time that even the great McGarrett is vulnerable.
