It'll make you want to watch the movies again. Job done.
I've gotta admit, I was a little disappointed to learn that "Decoding Die Hard" was just past featurettes strung together into a movie-length thing. On the other hand, that's not entirely a bad thing; hell, I've never seen them before now, so it's new to me. And they were also produced before that fifth movie came out, so . . . bullet dodged, right?
Anyhoo, this is great if you're into the series and I liked seeing all of these familiar faces volunteering commentary. A couple of players are missing, and their absences are glaring. And it feels like a puff piece once they start talking about "Live Free or Die Hard". But other than that, it's well-produced, engaging and there's even some making-of footage I've never seen before.
Not bad at all.
