After starring in Valeriya Gay Germanika's feature debut Everybody Dies But Me screened in Cannes in 2008, actress Agniya Kuznetsova is reunited with the director on Yes And Yes. Kuznetsova plays an inquisitive girl from the outskirts of Moscow, embarking on a coming-of-age adventure in the city's bohemian art community. Written by Sonia C
I like the story overall but the whole film just made me really dizzy, with the shaking filming and the already-drunk actors. The color combinations in the movie is beautiful, but again, I just wish it was less shaky, I felt really unwell after the movie because of that. I enjoyed the movie, some of the plots are really funny actually. It was also interesting to see how Agniya Kuznetsiva transformed from a young, inquisitive girl into a shadow of her love, with smoking and alcohol abusing and live trashily. It's a story centered about first love and innocence lost, as she began a fledgling romance with a n ambitious yet unrecognized artist, which will forever inform her outlook on life.
