During the opening scenes, Cate Wolfe's character is doing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compressions on the hanging victim. While mouth-to-mouth resuscitation was commonplace in 1959, it was only in 1960 that closed-chest compressions began to be taught systematically by the American Heart Association to U.S. doctors.
