Trivia

In desperation Leslie says it will be necessary to destroy the town in order to save the park. This is a reference to an infamous incident during the Vietnam War. An American commander ordered an air strike on a small village that completely destroyed it. When asked why he did this he replied that "it became necessary to destroy the village in order to save it." See more »

Parks and Recreation Emergency Response
15 February 2013 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Ending the episode with "To be continued" is nothing surprising but the question at the end of the wedding maybe being early is enough to get me to watch next week. This was a funny episode especially for Amy Poehler in both her tapes and in person dealing with the city problems. Both stories in the episode where funny especially seeing Leslie deal with the emergency drill (Veep's Matt Walsh makes a guest spot). Also seeing Ron as TV host in his quick scenes was good because of him being himself and giving Nick Offerman some funny things to do in the episode. Andy doing well in his police officer tests was nice but I him not passing seemed quite obvious from answering the personality questions. As I mentioned leaving with a cliffhanger of the marriage question I cannot wait to see if Leslie says yes and all the plans they have made goes away.

EPISODE GRADE: B+ (MVP: Amy Poehler)
