Did You Know?

During the city hearing to give Pawnee Video Dome Historic Landmark Status, one of the crackpot speakers who come to protest it identifies himself as "Wilson Gromling of the Liberty or Die Party." Gromling says: "These government handouts are deplorable. You're just handing out blank checks! I was on food stamps; I was on welfare; nobody helped me!" This is a paraphrase of something that the actor (and political conservative) Craig T. Nelson said on Glenn Beck's FOX News program; Nelson was widely ridiculed afterward (including by Jon Stewart on the "Daily Show") for the seeming contradiction inherent in saying, on the one hand, that he had taken advantage of government assistance programs like food stamps and welfare when he needed them but, on the other hand, that those sorts of government assistance programs are wrong and he never received any help. Parks and Recreation Bailout
15 March 2013 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Leslie trying to save a video store turns into a government bailout where classic movies are not saved but instead the government were able to turn it into a porn movie store. Chris was able to say yes to Ann about the baby which could work out nice for the two characters who really belong together. Ann and April together always is great together because one is dry and their comedy styles clash creating great comedic tension. The funniest moment of the episode was Donna, April and Ann singing a quick song together because it is a quite random moment for a show like this. Tom's store storyline also was funny with the addition of Jenny Slate as Mona Lisa the sister of Ben Schwartz's Jean-Ralphio. Another funny episode for the show with so many great moments even including a porn version of Leslie and Ron where Ron is played by a black man.

EPISODE GRADE: B+ (MVP: Rashida Jones)
