30 Rock Hogcock!/Last Lunch
2 February 2013 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Liz is getting her family dressed as they leave for school and work leaving her now a real house wife. She now must join other women online where she is made fun of by these mothers. She seems bored which is why she visits Jack as he finally seems to be achieving his job he always wanted. Kenneth is now the NBC president and Tracey cannot get the help of Kenneth because of how bust he is. Liz meets with Kenneth looking for a job and while she has a good idea he is not looking for what she is selling. Jenna now out of a job is ignored becoming a dramatic TV actress. Jack is feeling he has everything now but does not feel full anymore wanting to solve his problems. Liz fights with an online mother going to meet with her at a park. Jenna try's TV but does not like it then flying to Hollywood to become a film actress. Chris is that other mother and Liz finds out Chris does not like work which gives her the opportunity to work while he stays at home. Liz goes back to Kenneth giving him a show he is looking for. Quick montage of Jack achieving most things in his life with some cameos between Jack, Nancy (Julianne Moore) and Elisa (Salma Hayek). Kenneth informs Liz of another episode she must do so Tracey does not get a lot of money. Jenna try's L.A. but all the blonde's being younger then her makes her fly right back to New York. Tracey finally speaks to Kenneth allowing him to get on with his job as the NBC president. Liz needs a job but no help comes from Jack as the two seem to fight. One last show to go and while Tracey try's to get his money Liz knows all his tricks by now. The show must have a final lunch with the pick coming from Lutz. Jack still feeling empty try's to apologize to Liz but she wants to hear nothing from him. Tracey is trying to end the show with his close friends making fake news. Jack comes to Jenna looking for advice to talk to Liz but only being told of the grudge Liz can hold he breaks down in tears showing he true cracks in his character. The writers try to get a different lunch but Lutz is ahead of them all the time. Jack is now acting crazy now and Liz starts to notice the problems he could have. Jenna is told about now showing true emotion with the show ending. Lizis now worrying for Jack and if he would kill himself. Tracey has gone missing and Liz must find him in the strip club which seems like an obvious choice. Liz solves the Lutz problem going to the strip club getting Tracey to do the show again. Jenna finally shows emotion as her dressing room is taken away. Liz sees Jack's suicide video then going on the search for him allowing the show to go without her. Jack does not kill himself only going to discover something new. Back at the studio the show ends and Jenna sings her final song. Jack comes back with a new idea straight away then going to black. We then see how these characters are getting on one year later as they are all still connected. I feel I will never be able to write down my thoughts of the ending of this show because like most people I have had a rollarcoaster relationship with the show never really giving up on it. All the performers were once again great and while the one year jump was uncalled for at that point I did not care at all. Great ending to one of the most important shows in comedy history.

EPISODE GRADE: A (MVP: Tina Fey)
