Storyline

Bullet reports that Kallie Leeds is now missing and no one seems to have seen her after she left the shelter the previous evening. With Ray Seward opting for execution by hanging, correctional officer Francis Becker begins to review the procedures. Linden is disturbed by some of the coincidences she's found in Ashley Kwan's case and expresses some doubt about Seward's conviction to her former partner James Skinner. He's satisfied they did the right thing but Skinner's wife tells Linden to stay away from them. She next visits Seward's son Adrian who had drawn her a picture which she now recognizes. When she locates the site, she finds something that's quite grim. On death row Seward cons one of the correctional officers, Evan Henderson. into letting him make a phone call, supposedly to his lawyer. Becker is none too pleased and ensures Seward knows exactly what he's in for. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

Many references are made. One such being the tattoo 'Serenity' across Holder's chest. Holder's girlfriend, Caroline Swift who is played by Jewel Slaite, also played Kaylee in the famous one season hit series 'Firefly'(Joss Whedon), in which she is a mechanic for the cargo ship named 'Serenity'. The series had gained enough fan support and donation to later become a movie, titled 'Serenity'. Caroline makes silly remarks about Haldor's tattoo, but requests he keep it. See more »

Goofs

When Holder visits the motel, there is a Dodge pickup truck with the license plate 6775IC. This was Holder's license plate in seasons 1 and 2. See more »

Brutal Crimes/Brutal Life for Kids
24 January 2017 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

We've already met a young lady who lives on the street. Because she can't find a place to stay for the night, she hops into a car. She can be found nowhere. We see Bullet, a young girl who dresses as a boy punk, flexing muscle on the street. She confronts a guy who seems to be frightening to the other kids. She's all bravado and tough. Meanwhile, as Linden begins to look at the previous girl's killing, she begins to realize that this guy may still be out there. The guy on death row may not have done the crime she spent so much time on. She has that driven look again. It's a little like those gymnastics girls when they are about to do the vault. Anyway, the prisoner is doing everything he can to tick everyone off before he meets his maker. There is an ugly scene at the end of this episode, involving Bullet. It lets us know what these kids endure, just to survive.
