Plot twists and character deaths make a top notch finale. Warning: Spoilers
Where to begin? I suppose at the beginning. Right at the start of the episode, the police raid Mrs. S' house, arresting Sarah. However, the organization behind the cloning gets Sarah out, and brings her to a meeting with another clone. She tries to make a deal with Sarah. Throughout the episode, doctor Leke also tries to strike a bargain with the clones. This is the catalyst for one of the twists towards the end of the episode. Delphine reconciles with Cosima, and the two investigate the DNA. The police talk to Vic, who leads them to Alison, showing them that there is definitely something very strange going on. Speaking of Alison, she had a scene straight out of Breaking Bad. It was really very brutal, made even more so by a twist. The war between Helena and Sarah reaches a brutal conclusion. The very final twist leaves us on a cliffhanger. Very strong finale, look forward to season 2.

A thrilling and dramatic cliffhanging conclusion to Season One
DVD_Connoisseur1 December 2018
"Endless Forms" is a satisfying plot-packed cliffhanger to wrap Season One.

The tone for this finale is a serious one. When Alison says farewell to Aynsley, it's no laughing matter.

There are shocks and surprises awaiting the viewer as characters confront their individual nemesis.

9 out of 10. An excellent first season.

A perfect conclusion for the first chapter

Warning: Spoilers
We certainly cannot say that there was a lack of action in this finale! After more than five times of watching the series, I have to say that I still notice new things, here the fact that Helena in the basement overhears the conversation between Amelia and Sarah and that she thus knows that the two women will meet again at Beth's. Also, I personally find the actor playing Leekie to be perfect for the role: simultaneously mysterious, disturbing, reassuring and self-assured. Some people complain about the music, but I think Trevor Yuile did a fantastic job with the score, it's original but fits well with the action; the music playing in the final minutes of the season is proof of that. Even though Season 1 is over, we still have several questions. Among other things, Helena's and Kira's fate, Rachel and her worthless contract and Cosima's symptoms are very worrying. For me, it is from this episode that I trust Delphine, even if other viewers remain suspicious. We see for the first time the famous photo of the scientists behind the experiment, and I must say that the shocking twist of Alison's monitor has been very well written. If you enjoyed this season, I recommend you continue even if the first half of season 2 is a bit slow because season 3 is very entertaining and the fourth is a masterpiece.

[8.6] Put the squeeze on the clones or disappear forever!
cjonesas26 July 2021
An episode full of drama, eye-opening development, (complete) freedom of movement for Sarah, which I truly don't understand after the previous episode and a (major) death that wasn't to my liking. It has elements of drama, sci-fi and intrigue with a tiny soap-opera vibe. Hope it gets deeper and more serious.

Would like it more serious, brutal and better acted by the supporting cast. Tatiana Maslany is a star, gloriously personifying her characters and bringing them to ultra-believable life. I would like the writing and the peripheral acting be on par with her shiny performance.

Is that a too big thing to ask the writers/producers?!

great until the last few moments of stupendous idiocy
reality4222 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Overall this series is great, and this episode was great. However: the last few moments contained something that was so incredibly idiotic that it spoiled that episode for me, and I almost gave up on the series. I did continue to watch, and fortunately although its played up as the big twist at the end of this episode and season: its mostly not really paid attention to in the next season and overall I could ignore it. I'm willing to suspend disbelief, and take for granted that writer's aren't always the most well informed on many topics and tune out their mistakes, but this was a bit much.

I watched this when it initially aired and just rewatched it in 2022: and discovered that even though the series gets better, this plot point was just so stupid I wanted to comment in case anyone else turned here to see if they were alone in their reaction.

In the real world: in Canada, the US, and other civilized countries: slavery was outlawed long ago and no one can own another human, as most adults with basic education and an IQ above room temperature grasp. Yet at the end of this episode they find a claim hidden in their DNA that its patented and act as if that seriously means that some entity owns them. That is incredibly absurd and I find it stunning that no one involved with this production grasped that. These characters portrayed as having normal intelligence were written as if they were so utterly uneducated or unintelligent enough to take that seriously.

Its odd that the people who created this could have been so indoctrinated with anti-corporate propaganda that they take this idea seriously: and yet this show was created by a corporation and these people are all involved in a business endeavor. Yet they apparently were somehow so blinded by anti-corporate dogma that it didn't register to them that people can't be owned.
