14 December 2014 12:37 PM, PST | Movies.com | See recent Movies.com news »

Welcome back to Best Movie Trailers of the Week, a column where our trailer expert handpicks the best new movie trailers that have arrived online over the past week.   Hot Tub Time Machine 2 Warning: The following trailer is Nsfw Hot Tub Time Machine was a solid film, but I certainly wouldn’t call it one that needed a sequel. However, based on this new trailer, it looks as though director Steve Pink and writer Josh Heald might have come up with a scenario that justifies another go-around. This piece serves as an effective reminder of the absurd fun that could be had with Jacob (Clark Duke), Nick (Craig Robinson) and Lou (Rob Corddry), while also functioning as an appealing tease of all the possibilities that come with traveling to new time periods besides...

No Decade is Safe in Hot Tub Time Machine 2

11 December 2014 6:30 PM, PST | Filmonic.com | See recent Filmonic news »

Lou, Nick, Jacob and replacement Adam are really milking every last drop of that poor little hot tub time machine in the sequel to the somewhat popular(ish) 2010 comedy. This is the part where I’m supposed to make fun of yet another pointless sequel that brings absolutely nothing new to what was otherwise an ok […]

I actually wasn't even aware that a sequel was in the works! But say hello to "Hot Tub Time Machine 2," the sequel to the 2010 film "Hot Tub Time Machine," directed by Steve Pink, from a script penned by Josh Heald. What's it about? Well, it's called "Hot Tun Time Machine!!"   This time, our friends Nick (Craig Robinson) and Jacob (Clark Duke) use the time traveling hot tub to try and get back to the past to save Lou (Rob Corddry), after he is shot, but they inadvertently end up ten years in the future, which they must alter if they want to save their present-day. The film stars Craig Robinson, Adam Scott, Rob Corddry, Chevy Chase, Gillian »

Adam Scott Is the Best Part of Hot Tub Time Machine 2

11 December 2014 9:53 AM, PST | BuzzSugar | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Who's ready to see Craig Robinson bust out Lisa Loeb's "Stay"? Everyone? Great. A new trailer for Hot Tub Time Machine 2 has been released, and it looks every bit as ridiculous as the first one. In fact, this might be even more insane. Robinson, Rob Corddry, and Clark Duke are back as their characters from the 2010 comedy, and Adam Scott is in the mix in lieu of John Cusack. This time, the crew travels forward into 2024, only to discover that their lives have taken turns for the worse. It's nice to see the gang back together again, and apparently Scott's character "invents" cocaine, so that should be fun. The movie opens on Feb. 20, and you can check out the trailer right now. Here's the first teaser, as well. »

The Hot Tub Time Machine gang first used their time travel powers to, among other things, invent the internet, record "Call Me Maybe" 20 years early, and generally become filthy rich. But when they decide to take the hot tub for another spin in Hot Tub Time Machine 2 to save Lou in the present, they end up in 2025, and things haven't worked out quite too well for any of them. »

The 'Hot Tub Time Machine 2' Trailer Takes Us Back to the Future (Video)

11 December 2014 5:30 AM, PST | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

A new trailer for "Hot Tub Time Machine 2" reunites three-quarters of the original gang -- Lou (Rob Corddry), Nick (Craig Robinson), and Jacob (Clark Duke) -- for even more time-traveling shenanigans, only in this version, the trio is actively trying to alter the past.

Unfortunately for the gang, that plan doesn't go as well as the first time around. While their inadvertent trip to the '80s in the first flick allowed them to return to the present with lots of insider knowledge -- Lou has invented the internet, while Nick has become a famous musician thanks to penning popular tunes like "Call Me Maybe" more than a decade before Carly Rae Jepsen stormed the charts -- it seems that the trio has now fallen on hard times.

Naturally, they decide to take another dip in the fateful tub to determine what went wrong, but can't quite control where they land in time. »

Hot Tub Time Machine 2: the new trailer

10 December 2014 11:07 PM, PST | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

There's no John Cusack, but everyone else is back on board for Hot Tub Time Machine 2. Here's the trailer...

John Cusack may be gone, but the rest of the Hot Tub Time Machine cast have returned for a sequel to the 2010 hit. So this time, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Clark Duke are all on board, and the plot sees them trying to go back to the past. But before you can say 'rejected plot for a Back To The Future movie', they have to alter the future to save the past which is also the present.

If they end up in an alternative 1985, and their mums have married the school bullies, then maybe it won't be a rejected Back To The Future plot after all.

Adam Scott, Chevy Chase and Gillian Jacobs are also on board for Hot Tub Time Machine 2, with Steve Pink taking on directing duties. »

The 'Hot Tub Time Machine 2' trailer is way better than it has any right to be

10 December 2014 7:05 PM, PST | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

I never thought I'd write this sentence, but..."Hot Tub Time Machine 2" actually looks like a lot of fun. Though we were treated to a Nsfw red-band trailer back in July, the comedy sequel's promotion machine is revving up once again with a new Sfw (?) spot in which we get a lot of fun visuals, some solid jokes - "You like like a minor Tyler Perry character," Burnnn - and a fun concept in which the guys use their knowledge of the future to make money in the past by penning future hit songs. Can you imagine a world without Lisa Loeb? Can. You. Imagine. It. Watch the trailer below. "Hot Tub Time Machine 2" hits theaters on February 20. »

Hot Tub Time Machine 2 Trailer: This Movie Isn't About What We Thought At All

10 December 2014 3:32 PM, PST | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

The boys from Hot Tub Time Machine (or most of them, anyway) are soon coming back to theaters, and they're bringing all kinds of time travel weirdness with them. Find out what I mean by watching the brand new trailer below: It's been a good long while since we last actually saw footage from Hot Tub Time Machine 2, as the first red band trailer was released back in July. The delay could partially be explained by the fact that the movie found its release date bumped from Christmas Day of this year to February of 2015. But did you catch the other bit of weirdness in this trailer? It makes the movie look like it has a completely different plot. Going by this trailer alone, it looks like the movie picks up after the events of the first movie and finds Jacob (Clark Duke), Nick (Craig Robinson) and Lou (Rob Corddry »

Silly New Trailer for Hot Tub Time Machine 2

10 December 2014 12:55 PM, PST | GeekTyrant | See recent GeekTyrant news »

Paramount Pictures and MGM have released a new trailer and poster for the zany looking comedy Hot Tub Time Machine 2. The sequel is easily going to be even more absurd than the first film, and that's perfect for these kinds of comedies! The more ridiculous they are the more their target audience will enjoy them. I had a blast watching the first movie. I enjoyed it for what is was and I'll do the same thing with this sequel.

In the sequel, when Lou (Rob Corddry) finds himself in trouble, Nick (Craig Robinson) and Jacob (Clark Duke) fire up the hot tub time machine in an attempt to get back to the past. But they inadvertently land in the future. Now they have to alter the future in order to save the past….which is really the present.

The Boys Are Back In New Trailer For Hot Tub Time Machine 2

10 December 2014 12:06 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

After the 2010 time-traveling romp, Hot Tub Time Machine, brought in $64 million worldwide, another stab at a worn-out premise has been marked for revival in the shape of Hot Tub Time Machine 2.

The first movie saw four buddies – John Cusack, Craig Robinson, Clark Duke and Rob Corddry – venture back to a seminal summer of their youth to replay events with the gift of hindsight. It didn’t exactly deliver any unexpected turns, but the chemistry of its leads kept the comedy rolling. For this second outing, Cusack has bailed and is instead replaced by Adam Scott in the role of his son, who unites with his father’s buddies in 2025.

Whether or not a sequel was warranted is besides the point here, as any excuse to plonk audiences in front of a familiar property is deemed a worthy endeavour nowadays. Judging by the contents of this family-friendly trailer (the red-band »

Paramount has released a new trailer for its comedy sequel “Hot Tub Time Machine 2,” two months before its Feb. 20 launch.

The characters, played by Craig Robinson, Clark Duke and Rob Corddry, decide to go back into the past to fix the present.

“I think this time, maybe I’ll invent yoga pants,” Corddry muses as he steps into the tub.

They wind up mistakenly in 2025 along with Adam Scott, who plays the son of John Cusack’s character from the original film.

Steve Pink is directing again from Josh Heald’s script. As with the original, MGM is co-producing.

New Hot Tub Time Machine 2 Trailer Travels to the Future, the Past, the Way Past, and Everything in Between; Plus New Poster

10 December 2014 11:41 AM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Paramount just released a new(ish) Hot Tub Time Machine 2 trailer for director Steve Pink's  comedy sequel.  The film reunites Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry, Clark Duke, and Chevy Chase, with the addition of Adam Scott and Gillian Jacobs.  As someone who was drawn to the first film for John Cusack I was skeptical about the sequel in light of his absence, but Adam Scott looks to have wonderful chemistry with the returning cast, and more Gillian Jacobs is always a good thing.  The new trailer is very similar to the red-band trailer we got a few months ago, just cleaned up a bit with a couple new gags, but most importantly it's still really funny.  I dug the first movie a lot and love that they're going no-holds-barred with the concept for the sequel.  It should be a lot of fun to watch this band of buffoons gallivant their way through time. »
