Storyline

The Dramatics is a romantic comedy about a sweet, but stressed out actress, who unexpectedly lands a starring role in the sexually explicit mini-series adaptation of a best-selling, erotic chick lit novel and her loving, but tortured stoner boyfriend, who is forced to deal with it. Loosely based on the lives of Kat Foster and Scott Rodgers, who co-penned the script and co-star in the film, The Dramatics marks their first feature together and Rodger's directorial debut. Kat Foster is SOOOO dern CUTE!!
15 June 2015 | by See all my reviews

I'm in love! (did I just say that outloud??!!) LOL Well, I just think Kat Foster- the star of this little indie flick- is just about one of the dern cutest females on the planet. I remember her on TV's "Til Death", and a few other shows/movies since then.

In "The Dramatics: A Comedy", she plays a semi-known actress who gets a job on an erotic picture in Europe, and her boyfriend isn't so pleased about it. She starts a little something with the film's director- a well-known filmmaker, and her BF, who has been teaching an acting improv class, starts a thing with one of his students- and chaos ensues.

Overall, I'm on the fence for this film- like I said, Kat is adorable, and that actor playing her boyfriend was actually pretty amusing, but the film itself only had a few good moments here and there- mostly pretty droll. I'll say check it out if you're into quirky little indie flicks that are more character pieces..??- not a whole lot of substance..
