You see, when you create this type of series there's a certain audience that you really should please. I understand that this is an adaptation from a fictional book, but what I don't get is why destroy the whole ambiance of the time.
I'm all for women being treated fairly, I'm a woman after all, but pretending that women had that amount of agency during the middle ages is a joke.
The main reason Margaret Beaufort's story is so amazing is that she was a political powerhouse in a world where she had no agency, no support and no choice whatsoever.
How can a female politician, who is supposed to be a political mastermind, go to the middle of the battlefield and steal the thunder of the new king?
Is she suicidal?
Incredibly disappointing and childish.
I huge letdown.
