It's an ok show, but some parts are boring or should be kept for later. The activites part of the show is not necessary and does not follow the name b and b. Also the hosts reactions to the scores should be saved for the last show. 5.5/10

Having watched all of these shows, I can say with confidence 99% of the Blackpool wins have come about through cheating. There's been just one show where Blackpool deserved to win. Come on Blackpool, stop disgracing yourselves and play fair & square! Or here's an idea, put all the Blackpool B&Bs up against each other and let them fight unfairly amongst one another... that I would love to watch.

Been watching this for years now and I don't get why they get to read feedback before going to the next B and B I think this should be scraped and let them read it at the end of the competition so people can't play games due to not liking something they've read at end of each episode they should just do the money and fill out feedback to be read at end of competition

Episode 59 , 2019 series. The owner of the Victoria in Margate is so creepy, I would not stay there because he is so loathsome. I am so glad he did not win. His description of a rivals room as being like a "chicken shed" was wholly offensive and unjustified.

My partner and I watch this on a regular basis (most episodes are available on the Channel 4 website to catch up easily). We love all the drama and funny criticisms that come up about breakfasts. Although the camera always seems to linger a little too long on dirty items such as toilet brushes. Nobody wants to see that!
Watching it makes me crave a fry up every time haha.
Give this show a try. You will find yourself getting really into it, and feeling frustrated at annoying contestants, willing them to lose.

We started watching this show when it came to Bridge Hotel Brandon. Watched it ever since that episode. This show is about four couples or solos visiting and staying 2 days per venue. At the form time they do the form and any good and bad through each part and the score. Then they can say YES or NO to staying at the particular venue. There are activities and inspections like on The Hotel Inspector! LOVE THIS SHOW! If you are thinking of staying or owning I have one thing to say... Watch Four in a bed first to see how to do a B&B!

Really this could have been a great idea for a show, but over the episodes it got more and more tedious.
OH MY god i have found a hair on my bed, or horrors a cobweb or a a hair in the bath/shower. I used to be a head housekeeper of a very posh hotel. After a room was done it was inspected. Just prior to people booking in i would check it again and guarantee a stray hair would have turned up.
Also what is all this about MUST HAVE A FRY UP for breakfast. Really i have been in hotels over my time all over the place never had a fry up yet.
Too much knick picking and ridiculous fallouts.

If you want drama, friendship and delicious eggs four in a bed is a must see. Been watching this show since I was 12, I have all the box sets and I use them in a monthly rotation loose women. My life long ambition is to own a B&B and take part is this classic British television show. There is nothing more physically stimulating then when someone stiffs a fellow competitor £30.
10/10 a must see.

This started out looking like it was going to be a real, funny, estimation of B&B's in England. I love B&B's in England. Well, after a few hi-jinks and cheating by some of the owners, I realized it was a backwards way of where not to stay. When you have two and three hundred year old buildings, you have something so rare, and frankly more appealing than modern amenities for many travelers. I'm guessing this is not about traveling,but plots and whatever it takes to get viewers. What a disappointment. You have something really unique, run with it people.

I loved to watch this show. Some of the contestants make me want to tear my hair out, they are so rude and critical. They have any issue with the tiniest thing. A hair in the bed, I'm sorry but a hair can fall out just as you turn to leave the room, get over it. A cobweb isn't the end of the world and there's a big difference between dusty and dirty.
Also if I go to a B&B. I want a clean comfortable room with a comfortable bed and a good breakfast. I do not want or need my hosts to entertain me, nod do I want then constantly hanging around. If I need something I will ask for it.
It's ridiculous to have your hosting marked down on how you entertain your clients or because you are constantly hovering around the breakfast table.
Also these people book in as individuals/couples but complain if there is a delay in not serving them breakfast together. It should be on a first come first served basis as it would be if they were regular guests coming down to breakfast at different times.

The show is a tit for tat, tactically played programme of people trying to find any problems they can in different types of accommodation. The background music is terrible. The characters always come across as game playing hotel/camipng/b&b owners trying to prove that although their property is lacking, so are all the others. It's quite sad to see people bringing down what other people have worked hard to make in an effort to score higher points. If anything it puts me off staying at any of the accommodations shown. Maybe if it had an independent customer reviewing all the places there would be some credibility to the programme.

i hate the constant music, its unnecesary and makes the programme unwatchable.
The narrator is a bore and completely ruins it, we do not need to see them driving to the hotel and making bland comments, this adds nothing to the show, they make the same comments all the time the camera never stays still for more than 5 seconds alot of the time the contestants are playing up for the camera, they pretend to get so excited about poached eggs and claim THATS THE BEST EGGS EVER,

I think it would be fairer if glamping and camping where in one program and B&Bs where judged on stays just with B&Bs. Also Hotels judged on stays just hotels against hotels. As I think a lot of people who go to hotels would not necessarily like to go camping or stay in a tent. The same with some people who would love camping may not necessarily like staying in a B&B or hotel. I have been camping many a time and been in B&Bs and hotels and have found most places and proprietors really nice and welcoming. Never been glamping as yet but I am sure I will one day. I will more than likely look up one of the sites off the program when I do.

Whilst I often watch this programme unfortunately virtually all the B&B's just do not take criticism well & they all think that they have the best place for a stay, few can cook a simple breakfast to everyone's liking, some of the accommodation charges are ridiculously high even whilst they think there prices are competitive...doh!
I've stayed in many places over one to two nights, some of which I would not choose to stay in again, the worst (I'm not going to state here) was really disgusting, owned by a big brand name to, dirty & stained all over the room! Whilst the program has highlighted the odd place where I would choose to stay I do find it annoying that they visit Blackpool so often (personally I don't like the town) it has nothing to offer me I'm afraid.

Personally I never choose to stay in someone else's house, more often than not it would be a pub type of accommodation or guest house type. Charging extra for a breakfast takes away the meaning of what the programme is partly about...grrr. I have actually seen a couple of owners on the show that actually used to live in my area but I would call that 'a claim to fame' lol. The idea of this 'reality type programme is quite a good one for several insight reasons of course.

Charging extra for a breakfast takes away the meaning of what the programme is partly about...grrr. I have actually seen a couple of owners on the show that actually used to live in my area but I would call that 'a claim to fame' lol. The idea of this 'reality type programme is quite a good one for several insight reasons of course.
I think that that is all I have to say on this review but this form keeps telling me it requires more words ffs.
Most contestants are like spoiled children.

The feedback forms should not be made know until all the properties have been visited, just the same as the amount of money tendered for the stayat the property. Most of the time the only TRUE comments are those submitted after the first night of staying at the properties.
After the comments are given on the feedback forms, it becomes a tit for tat children's petty huffing session, to see who can outdo, hurt and downgrade each other the most, simply because someone has made a honest comment.
We used to never miss the show, but now we just turn the channel over.

I watch this show a lot and I'm amazed that anyone would go and stay at these bed and breakfasts. A lot of these people are petty and either just plain nasty or very obviously game playing.not for the first time are the attitudes of the owners very extreme and incredibly pointless. When they are all so certain that their way is the right way then what is the point of even entering the competition. I've watched today's and I couldn't believe the performance between two of the bed and breakfasts. I certainly wouldn't stay at either of those. The Welsh teams did really well though. I think these people need to understand how badly it reflects on their business and how they come across. All i can say is that this is why I prefer the hotel chains. A lot less personality.

This program has become a total joke, all B&B owners the same , o there's a hair,so what ? There B&B snot 5 star hotels . O the produce is all locally sourced ? And what does that actually make it good No not at all ha ha , o my egg is amazing ha ha a pouched egg so easy to do like any egg it's helerios listening to these B&B owners that have obviously not traveled and experienced nice places just to see how bad there's are !!! Look at staying at Johansens small hotels and B&B you will all get a reality check then maybe not moan about dill things ha ha
Please change the quality of these idiots.

For Gods sake get these useless lazy B&B owners to experience top quality places because I feel that apart from own places they have been no we're and not enjoyed quality places let them do to Johanson places and see what life is about.
