The actor on Wednesday tweeted the first picture of himself in character for the CW drama’s upcoming sixth season, leading fans to speculate about Damon’s future:
Given his bloody appearance, is it safe to assume Damon will return from [wherever he and Bonnie disappeared to] fairly early in the season? (They’re currently working on Episode 5.) Or will he get a chance to feed while he’s [wherever he and Bonnie disappeared to]?
(Or third option: Did he eat Bonnie?)

Considering that The Originals is a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries and exists in the same universe, it doesn’t seem all that hard for the shows to cross over every once in a while. But as executive producer Julie Plec mentioned at Comic-Con, it’s harder than fans might think. Not only do the stories have to come together in a natural way, but the logistics of getting an actor (or two) from one show to another isn’t the simplest task.
That being said, the two shows did manage a total of two crossovers last season—one when »

With Hayley turning into a hybrid in the season one finale, the werewolves of New Orleans are down a key player. Correction: They were down a key player.
EW has confirmed that Devious Maids star Colin Woodell will recur in The Originals second season as Aiden, who’s described as “a badass lieutenant in the reigning New Orleans werewolf pack, loyal to his people first but willing to align with witches if it allows him the power he needs to take down vampires. Network PR vet Alison Rou has exited her post at ABC to launch Anchor Media Strategy, a praisery focused on repping showrunners.
Rou said she sees an opening for a showrunner-centric shingle now that the hyphenates who run TV series are increasingly becoming boldface names, thanks to social media and heightened consumer media coverage of all things entertainment.
Rou’s initial client list at L.A.-based Anchor Media includes Julie Plec (“The Vampire Diaries,” “The Originals”), Kerry Ehrin (“Bates Motel”), Erica Messer (“Criminal Minds”), Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters (“Resurrection”) John Lehr and Nancy Hower (Hulu’s “Quick Draw”), Ilene Chaiken (“Empire”) and drama vet Liz Tigelaar.
Anchor Media is also repping the Atx Television Festival in Austin, Texas, which will stage its fourth edition next June.
Rou is a respected exec who was most recently on her second tour of duty at ABC, where she was VP of communications. »

Mark Hartley's reimagining of cult '70s shocker Patrick hits UK DVD shelves today, 11 August, titled Evil Awakens. With this in mind, we recently cornered Hartley as he took a break in London to pick his brain about the film, his feature helming debut.
Until now, Mark has been most widely known for his directorial work on music videos and documentaries such as Not Quite Hollywood and Machete Maidens Unleashed. When quizzed about the circumstances that led to finally getting in the director's chair for a narrative feature film, he tells us, "Well, I had never ever planned, or had any ambition, to make documentaries."
He elaborates, "That kind of happened by accident... I had always intended to make narrative features, and it was just a very difficult process. My background is actually music videos – I’ve made like a hundred and fifty music videos in Australia prior to »

Recently, TV Line served up their latest spoiler chat session, and dished out new spoiler teasers for "The Originals" season 2 in regards to Klaus' parents, Esther and Mikael, via executive producer, Julie Plec. It turns out that their relationship history is going to get explored even further to basically answer the question of did they even like each other? Lol! In their spoiler chat reveal, they stated: "their relationship is going to be explored big-time in the coming season. “We know about their marriage, and we know that they made their kids into vampires, but do they like each other?” executive producer Julie Plec muses. “Do they hate each other? We’re having so much fun writing the history of Esther and Mikael right now.” Sounds like their future is just as mysterious as their past." Season 6 is due to premiere on Thursday night, October 2nd at 7pm central time on the CW. »

Question: Any info on the Big Bang Theory season premiere? —Joey
Ausiello: For those curious about Sheldon’s whereabouts all summer, I can confirm that he did, in fact, get on that train (vs. just squatting in the station, as some have speculated). The bigger question you should be asking yourself is whether he ever stepped foot outside the train during his epic journey.
In The Originals, returning to The CW October 6th, Joseph Morgan plays Klaus - the original werewolf-vampire hybrid first introduced as a big bad in The Vampire Diaries' second season. Over the years audiences have watched Klaus evolve from outright villain to villainous antihero, learning his backstory, meeting his family, and eventually following him to New Orleans for an entirely new series. Undoubtedly, it's Morgan's keen balance of menace and charm that allows audiences to invest in him both as protagonist and antagonist within a single mythology. At Comic-Con last weekend I sat down for a roundtable interview with Morgan. He talked about how fatherhood has changed Klaus, the possibility of finding redemption, Klaus's self-destructive nature, his level of self-awareness, the return of his dreaded father Mikael, and more. Hit the jump to see what he had to say. Question: How has being a father changed Klaus, if at all? »

In The Originals, returning to The CW October 6th, Danielle Campbell plays Davina - an exceptionally powerful witch on the path to take charge of her own life and exact vengeance on the titular Original family. Last season on The Originals, Davina was kept on Marcel's tight leash, but with season two we can look forward to Davina embracing her power and taking strides towards her independence. At Comic-Con last weekend I sat down for a roundtable interview with Campbell. She talked about her first Comic-Con experience, how Davina will explore her powers and independence this season, getting out of Marcel's attic, how much control she really has over Mikael, new relationships on the horizon, and more. Hit the jump to see what she had to say. Question: Is this your first comic-con? Danielle Campbell: It is! How has it been? Campbell: It's been fun. Everyone says it's crazy, »

One of the most enjoyable aspects of The CW's sexy supernatural drama The Originals is the way characters swing freely from the role of hero to villain. Perhaps none so much as Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) - the sometimes friend, sometimes foe of the titular Original family. Last weekend at Comic-Con I sat down for a roundtable interview with Davis He talked about how things have changed since his first Comic-Con visit, Marcel's journey in the second season, new relationships on the horizon, why Marcel craves power, and more. Check out what he had to say after the jump. [When we interviewed you last year the show had not aired yet.] Charles Michael Davis: Yeah, just the first episode. Right, and I remember you getting really emotional and talking about how it changed your life. Davis: Now I'm jaded. How are things different now that the show is a success? Davis: Yeah, I think I don’t know that bright eyed »

The Originals Joseph Morgan will be proud that his on-screen baby mama Phoebe Tonkin has turned twice as evil! As a new hybrid she finds herself losing control and she does not want to stop it at all. Besides her new found crave for blood, she is now wanting to destroy everything and everyone in her way. Meanwhile Klaus is finding himself at war with a group of gangs and werewolves. It won’t be a pretty season as the trailer shows a lot of active violence will take place. You can view it down below.
I do love The Originals because I love Klaus and his attitude, so it is nice to see that they go big this season. Klaus and his gang of bad characters certainly deserved their own show for so long. I just wish that they didn’t make him always the bad guy. Perhaps they »
